Find your new happy place at Creative Camping, an aptly named campsite close to the West Sussex coastline. Located midway between Selsey on the coast and the historic city of Chichester, this laidback spot is a top pick for families and friends looking for a getaway somewhere just that little bit different. As well as the well-maintained pitches and green outdoor area, Creative Camping has a spacious indoor area for guests to enjoy. Come and relax on the indoor 'beach', sit back on one of the comfy chairs, let the kids play in the sandpit or take your pick of the games and books on offer. The indoor space also has a lounge and dining area, a kitchen with sinks, two toilets, two showers, a changing room and a baby changing table. When you spend time outside, you'll appreciate the site's quiet location away from the road and the natural feel of the place – sit back and relax and it's quite likely that you'll see birds of prey flying overhead. Dogs are welcome here and there's easy access to footpaths in the local area for their walks. The sensible use of open fires and barbecues is allowed, and guests can make use of the site's big barbecue and pizza oven. Handily, Sidlesham village centre, where there is a pub, is about a quarter of a mile away to the north.

Liked Love the spacious pitches, focus on kids with the beach room and go-karts/toys. Enclosed camp area so kids can explore. Free to use fire pits and Gary’s log delivery. Fridge/kettle/freezer in the kitchen. Outdoor showers are the kids favourite!

Liked Creative camping was really enjoyable stay! We spent bank hol weekend there and we had the best time. Lots for the kids todo there ( sand pit, lots of bikes and toys.) would recommend staying there.
The lady that runs it is lovely too. We look forward to returning in August🙂

Liked Large pitches, plenty of toys and play areas for the kids, indoor sandpit, use of kettle/microwave, friendly and helpful staff, clean facilities and hot showers, lovely dog walk on the edge of the site.

Liked Lovely little campsite, loads for the kids to do with the provided toys, carts, sand pit etc, nice dog walks, Owner, Kym, super helpful, pitches nice and flat, showers nice and hot without the 10 second button push, already booked to return :-)

Liked Such a lovely little campsite, with an absolutely fantastic owner. Great facilities, clean, and such a nice touch having art everywhere. I went solo, but if you come with a child or a family, there is so much to do, including an indoor sandpit and arts and crafts! The pitches were great, and it was surrounded by lots of trees and plants which gave it a nice, natural feeling. It's gated entry so also feels very safe. Pitches were a nice size, and where there was only me, and one other family camping at the time, the owner was lovely enough to tell us we didn't have to rush to get going in the morning, which was lovely, and meant a nice, relaxed start to the day, and time to enjoy the sun! Definitely a great place to start the camping season!

Disliked Absolutely in no way the campsites fault, but it is by a very busy road, so you hear the noise of the cars and lorries at all hours. Didn't bother me personally, but if you're a light sleeper, it may bother you.

Also a little expensive at £35 for the night, however, it is a very small campsite so makes sense.

Super quiet, surrounded by beautiful nature, and equipped with all the amenities you could ever need. On top of that, the owners are incredibly friendly and helpful, making you feel welcome from the moment you arrive.

There are all sorts of coastal corners you'll want to explore while in West Sussex, from the wildlife haven wetlands of RSPB Pagham Harbour (five minutes' drive) to the cheerful seafront at Selsey (10 minutes) or the sandy stretches of West Wittering (15 minutes). Slightly further afield, it's easy to get to other maritime spots, whether you fancy a day trip to the seaside resort and pleasure harbour at Littlehampton (30 minutes) or want to walk around the historic dockyards of Portsmouth (30 minutes). Jaunts to the bright lights and vintage shops of Brighton (an hour and 10 minutes) are also on the cards if you fancy a really special day out. There's also much to see and do inland locally, with many of the prettiest parts of the South Downs National Park just a short drive away. While you're in the area, make sure to check out pretty historic country estates like Arundel Castle (25 minutes), and if ancient history's your thing you can make tracks for the mosaics and columns of Fishbourne Roman Palace (15 minutes).
