  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

What customers say

This is a friendly, well-maintained campsite situated by the River Thames, praised for its spacious pitches and clean facilities. Staff are frequently described as helpful and welcoming. It's popular with families due to the central playground and proximity to attractions. While most visitors enjoy the peaceful atmosphere, some note aircraft noise due to its Heathrow flight path location, and occasional issues with facility cleanliness during peak times. Parking is separate from pitches.

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Good Site, next to the river thames, perfect for kayaking, paddle boarding or just a splash around.
Generous size pitches. Friendly Staff, very child friendly lots for them to do (Playground, sandpit, football, volleyball/Badminton nets, pool & table tennis)
I probably would choose this site if I just wanted a quiet weekend away.

Disliked Due to the high number of younger children who are allowed to run around on their own - the toilets could have been cleaner later in the day
They were closed for 2 hours a day for cleaning, but by late afternoon the floors were wet/dirty - other than this it was great!

Electric optional grass pitch

Liked Staff were very helpful when my electric stove was pulling too much power and tripping the electric hook up helped me figure it out and fix it. Little play ground on site is perfect for the kids and if you have older kids there’s another park opposite the entrance to the campsite. There are enough showers and toilets so that you’re not waiting for others to finish before you can go. Pitches were pretty flat and sheltered from wind by some trees which is great. Great transport links to London and centrally located to all the theme parks which was perfect

Disliked The bathrooms could have been cleaned twice a day rather than once as people were making a mess and ruining it for others, lots of spiders in there to. Didn’t realise how close to airport we would be bring ear plugs

Non-electric grass pitch

Liked Well maintained facilities, family friendly atmosphere, friendly/ helpful staff and next to a river for fishing adventure with the little one.

Stayed for 5 nights with my 9 year old son, he spent the days with his new friends mostly or go fishing with me across the road (free fishing, license required) or to the theme parks (all within 20 mins drive). Awesome week we had, full of fun and tons of stories to tell. There are many families in the camp site and all were friendly. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, you can sense that they always make effort to make you feel comfortable.

Pool table, ping pong table and dart board available and provide tons of fun to play with the young ones. There is another playground and outdoor gym right next to site too if you want extra activities.

I must say, this is one of the best camp sites I've ever visited in the UK, I camp 5 times a year all the way to Scotland.

Will definitely come back for another adventure!

Disliked None!
