Liked Great welcome. Clear information given by staff. Useful info sheet/map. Pleasant campsite.
Disliked Lack of WiFi apparently something to do with festival in nearby field?

From the manager: Thank you very much Patrick for your kind comments.
Regarding the wifi:
Our wifi unfortunately is affected by what goes on at the Kent Show Ground next door and this weekend they had a large music festival. We do not charge for our wifi and suggest that if customers really do need it that they bring their own portable router.
We would love to see you again, The Oak View Team. 😊 🌳.

Great, quiet, clean.
Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Toilet and showers lovely and clean. Love the idea that the toilet and showers were in the same room. The shower block has a door on the outside so the interior is kept warm. The guardian was very nice and took the trouble to explain everything to us, toilets , electrics, sanitaries. Campsite was clean and tidy and well looked after.
Disliked Couldn't find the place to empty waste/grey water.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you so much Michael for leaving us such a kind review and its lovely to know that everything was good for you.
Regarding the grey water disposal:
We do have 3 service points around the park with a grey water standpipe and drain at the back. These are for emptying pull along waste water tanks. I am afraid we no longer have a drive over disposal point for motorhomes.
We would really love to see you again next time you are in the UK. Safe travels. The Oak View Team. 😊 🌳
Nice stay, if didn’t have accessibility needs it would have been brill
Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Lovely dog walking from site.
Nice atmosphere and good size pitch
Friendly staff
Disliked The disabled shower room/toilet - only 1 small hanging peg which was even less handy being low and over the waste bin.
The seat in the shower was taped up and out of use
The method of getting the shower to work wasn’t very user friendly = the length of time the shower was on was much too short, by the time I had pushed the button and got back to washing, the water was off again

From the manager: Thank you for your review Steffi.
We do work very hard to try to make it a nice friendly atmosphere and we are always happy when customers pick up on this. Thank you. 😊
Your comments regarding the disabled shower room are noted and will be passed on. We would like to point out that there is a freestanding chair in there which is much safer to use. All the showers are push operated and this will be passed on.
We hope that this will not put you off from staying again. The Oak View Team. 😊 🌳
Great site, great service and we have now become regulars.

Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked I have just come back from another 2 night break, this is my 3rd stay this year I just love this place, the staff are always friendly and welcoming and the showers and toilets are always clean and tidy, love the woods where you can walk your dog from the site and the squirrels are always about in the trees surrounding the park, you can hear a little road noise but it’s such a lovely place and very easy to get to with lots to do in the area, Leeds Castle, Moat park and the beautiful white horse wood country park all about 15 minutes away.
Disliked Nothing

From the manager: Thank you so much for that very kind review. We love it when customers keep returning, it's awesome to have all our "regulars" and so nice to get to know you all. Since I started this job I have made some nice friends and it shows that we are hopefully doing things right when people return.
See you again soon! The Oak View Team. 😊 🌳

Disliked First morning shower freezing cold missed second day used my caravan.the third day the water was.scolding hot i could not rinse off it was reported to reception but they didnt know how to set the temperature unfortunately

From the manager: Thank you Colin for your review. We do try to be as helpful as possible.
Regarding the shower temperature:
We apologise for this, this problem has now been sorted. The issue was the amount of breaks we have had in our water supply caused by South East Water. There have been numerous times that this has happened this summer, more than ever before. This meant that the tanks had to fill again and take ages to get to the correct temperature. Every time we have tried to adjust this, the result is not instant but everything is now running as it should be.
We would love to see you again.

Great site, great location and amazing staff always on hand to assist.
Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Location is great, site is kept spotless at all times.
The staff are amazing and always on hand to assist.
Disliked I hate how some visitors treat the site like a dump and expect the amazing staff to clean up after them. I had a tent behind me with 2 adults and a child (approx 10yo). They stayed for one night. When they left there was easily 20/30 cigarette butts just dotted around their tent area. They drive over other people’s cables and we’re just rude.
This site is well kept despite the efforts of some of the visitors

From the manager: Thank you so much Tracy for your fantastic kind review.
We do try our absolute best to keep everything nice and to be as helpful as possible. As you have seen, during the summer, sometimes it can be a bit of a challenge. Unfortunately, human nature can denote that some have no consideration for other people around them or the people that have to clear up behind them. Luckily this doesn't happen all the time and we do have some lovely customers who return again and again, such as yourself. We really appreciate that and love to get to know everyone.
Hopefully we will see you again soon. The Oak View Team. 😊 🌳
A nice site, quiet location, perfect for lots but need work on maint
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The lady on reception was lovely and could not do more to help.
Disliked Unfortunately in the five days we stayed there it was only on the last day that the showers actually worked correctly. They were so hot there was real danger of scalding so washing had to be done in a sink.
The freezer for the ice blocks is not as helpful as suggested. It is in the office and so only available to be collected between 9 and 5.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you for making time to leave us a review Samantha.
Regarding your dislikes:
As mentioned in reply to a previous review, the problem with the temperature of the showers has now been resolved.
It is not advertised anywhere that we have an ice block freezing service. This is something that we choose to do as a curtesy. Every time we have taken someones ice blocks to put in our staff freezer, we explain that the office is shut between the hours of 5pm and 9am and they cannot be collected between those times. Strangely enough, we do actually go home at 5pm as much as we would love to sit here all night waiting to hand out customers ice blocks.
This will now no longer be something on offer if we are going to get negative reviews for being helpful.
Happy Travels. The Oak View Team.
Was a lovely campsite. Will definitely go again.
Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Nice small campsite. I liked that the owners phoned to check we were still coming and they greeted us upon arrival to show us our pitch. Was very lucky to be put with the other 2 parties we were camping with so were all together. I also liked they had a burger/fish and chips van on the Saturday night.
The toilet blocks were clean and like the fact there were 4 family cubicles.
Had an electrical issue which was resolved promptly by the team.
The small window of no rain we were able to play games in the middle of the green.
Disliked The weather! Rain all weekend which was no ones fault. However, we were allowed to put a gazebo up so was able to sit in there with all of us.
One minor thing I didnt like, was we were right next to the toilet waste, and when the wind blew we could smell it. Maybe could do with a lid? However didnt spoil our weekend.
WiFi was hit and miss but think we were the furthest away from it. And actually was quite nice everyone not being on their pho es all weekend.
Recommend to friends Visit again
From the manager: Thank you so much Kelly for taking the time to write us a detailed review, that's awesome. It did rain didn't it, which of course is the law in England on August Bank Holiday weekend.
The wifi was never going to be great with a full park and the Military Oddysey going on at the show ground but it is free. We will take your suggestion on a lid for the service point into consideration. They are emptied regularly.
We wish you happy travels. The Oak View Team. 😊 🌳
