We had a fantastic holiday at Nodes Point. The beach was so close to where we were camping. The facilities were always clean and available. The kids really enjoyed the swimming pool and Sparky kids club. Thanks for a lovely holiday.

A very good campsite for families. On a slight hill but didn't cause an issue for us.Only 2 mins from a lovely beach.Great entertainment if you want it in main hub provided by a friendly team.Great washing and showering facilities.

    Disliked:

Horse riding groups come down path daily so lots of horse poo on here and would advise leaving shoes outside your tent.A bit noisy at nightime with large groups.Great facilities but could be cleaned more regularly.

We have stayed at many sites in the Isle of Wight and thoroughly love the island. This year we thought we'd stay at Nodes Point. The view from our tent down to the sea was beautiful and the club house was very modern. The site itself is very nice and the staff in the clubhouse were very welcoming.

    Disliked:

We found the toilets and showers were filthy, modern but filthy, we stayed for 3 days and visited the shower blocks morning and evening and they remained filthy the entire time. The showers had dirt and mud in them which we appreciate happens however, not once when we used them were they clean.
We also found, despite being given a campsite rules which stated 'if your neighbour's can hear your music its too loud', several families were playing loud music each night, we did complain to security to be told its not quiet time until 11pm, which if you have children, is too late and wholly unfair on other campers.
We were also woken in the early hours by a group of young lads returning to their tents who were swearing, shouting and laughing on their way through.

    The beach location

    Disliked:

When our tent broke in a storm , nodes did nothing to help although they could . Refusing to rent us a caravan because it hadn't been cleaned. Pathetic , leaving two 9 yr olds with nowhere to sleep.

Beautiful place, lovely scenery and clean environment. Good value for money such as food and drink good prices. Loved the little shop, came in handy. We liked the 'golden rules' enforced such as the curfew for being quiet. I liked the fact that you can choose where u camped over the fields. The staff were always friendly and helpful.

    Disliked:

The shower and toilet facilities could of been cleaner. The swimming pool was too crowded for us but still a nice feature yo have. The entertainment was a little childish for us but we understand its for all the family to enjoy entertainment. The acoustic singer was fantastic, he had a lovely voice!

Local attractions

With the lovely St Helens within strolling distance, visitors would be forgiven for staying close to home; however, other wonderful Blue Flag beaches such as Sandown are but a short drive away (and dinosaur fans will enjoy the animatronics in the pterodactyl-shaped Dinosaur Isle museum here too).

The carnival town of Ryde, with its pier and marina, is only three miles from Nodes Point, and the neighbouring village of Bembridge has a pretty harbour and some great pubs and restaurants, as well as the only windmill remaining on the island.

Fakenham Farm offers the usual farmyard friends, plus a smattering of more exotic species.

Visitors will also be chuffed with the views offered by the magnificent machines of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway, which stages many special events in season and also hosts a falconry display.

Must see

  • Isle of Wight Steam Railway (4.8 miles)
  • Royal Navy Submarine Museum (5.8 miles)
