Tyckte om Great location. Level pitches and we were offered an up grade to fully serviced pitch when we arrived thanks to availability.
Lovely casual stroll to the beach. Smashing views. Bus stop outside entrance.
Clean and well looked after toilet/shower block with lovely warm showers and NO coin slots to worry about. Plenty fresh water points dotted around.
Restaurant good. Food prices reasonable. We hadn't children with us but noticed plenty of activities for them including hilarious tick tock song performed by staff!!! All in all an excellent place to stay. Wish we had booked longer.

Tyckte inte om Just a couple of small points. The food menu was a bit lacking in straight forward English food but probably suited todays trends, ( i was dying for a fillet steak!!!)
Having travelled a lot we find things like the bottles of wine (generally on campsites in the UK) are vastly overpriced, even with a discount voucher.
It spoils the pleasure in a lovely venue.

Toilet block was always warm.

Showers weren't clean, only stayed on for a few seconds and weren't the warmest.
Toilet block seemed to have trouble with ants.
Washing up room constantly smelt bad.

Tyckte om Good size pitch, helpful wardens, brilliant location so close to the sea, shower/toilet block good. Lots of early morning birdsong and seeing Red Squirrels on site was super.

Tyckte om I really appreciated how tidy and well-organised the campsite is—it’s clearly very well maintained. The proximity to the beach is a major advantage and makes the location excellent. The staff were particularly impressive: supportive, friendly, and always helpful. The site was also pleasantly quiet, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Having a supermarket on-site is very convenient, and Nisa is a great addition.

The external dishwashing area could be better protected from the weather and having access to hot water there would be a significant improvement.

Lastly, the restaurant experience could offer more variety for vegans.

Tyckte om The location was excellent and the views breath taking. We loved the village of St Helens with it's bookshop, pub, village store and cafe. Excellent walks. The site was good and we were greeted by informative staff.

Tyckte inte om We arrived on the Thursday and the showers/ toilets were not cleaned until the Monday. The water in the showers was warm and a good pressure, but they should have been cleaned daily.

Tyckte om From the moment we arrived at Holmsley, we knew we’d chosen the right place. Julie at reception was absolutely fantastic – warm, welcoming, and full of local knowledge that made settling in effortless. She really set the tone for our stay, and throughout the trip every single member of staff we met was excellent: friendly, helpful, and clearly dedicated to keeping the site running smoothly.

The campsite itself exceeded our expectations. The pitches were spacious and well laid out, giving everyone plenty of room to relax. Facilities were spotless, modern, and well maintained, which made the whole experience comfortable and stress-free. We especially loved the peaceful atmosphere of the site – no noise, no hassle, just pure relaxation in a truly beautiful part of the New Forest.

Waking up each morning to the sight of ponies and wildlife wandering past our pitch was magical, and it really added to the feeling that this site is something special. The location is also excellent, with easy access to walking trails, villages, and all that the New Forest has to offer, yet the campsite itself feels quiet and tucked away.

Overall, our stay was everything we had hoped for and more. With staff like Julie leading the way, Holmsley has that extra personal touch that makes it stand out from other campsites. We left feeling completely refreshed and can’t wait to return – highly recommended to anyone looking for a perfect New Forest break.
