Ashton Hall
Stunning views
Generously sized pitches with hardstanding and grassed areas
Peaceful and sheltered countryside setting

  • Peaceful and spacious wildlife haven in the smart Ashton Hall Estate
  • Lancaster city and the Forest of Bowland both within six miles
  • An 11-hole seaview golf course, woodland walks and fishing in the Lune
Rock up here for a restful retreat among the comely grounds of Ashton Hall Caravan Park… Within Ashton Hall’s extensive estate are an 11-hole golf course with spectacular seaward vista, as well as a garden centre and café, all bordered by ancient woodlands and the River Lune, and direct access to the Lancashire Coastal Way and the Lune Estuary Footpath. Your holiday days will surely fill up quickly with all there is to do around the locale too – if you manage to tear yourself away from the site, that is – as the Forest of Bowland, the Lune Estuary and Lancaster city are all within six miles. On site, there's loads of room to wander around the grounds or in the adjoining forest for woodland walking routes, nature trails and cycle paths, many of which will take you from the site directly to the banks of the River Lune. On top of all this, the site takes pride in its sparklingly clean unisex toilet and shower facilities in a modern stone-built bathroom block with underfloor heating. The building includes an accessible bathroom/ family facility, a vanity area with washbasins, big mirrors and a hairdryer, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, and a covered washing-up area – like the site itself, the amenities block is safely secure and accessed via a secure key code. A local pub and restaurant lies within a mile of the estate, and Lancaster is three miles away.

Wifi on this pitch was so much better. Will be returning be will ask for this pitch again

Disliked Path a little muddy opposite pitch 13 so going to shower block was bit of an puddle obstacle course 😂. Could do with some gravel throwing in the potholes

Liked Lovely long pitches, fantastic views, great showers and toilet facilities. Path off the site that leads to Glasson Dock which is a lovely walk. Saw the heron every day and on our last day we saw 6 deer, wonderful.

Lune fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Peace and quiet although it was only January when we stayed there. There were only three Motorhomes there at the time so lots of room for our dog to run around.
The facilities were lovely and clean although we didn’t use them.
Lovely garden centre with cafe and plenty of walks.

Disliked We were allocated a pitch at the other end miles away from the showers/toilets which seemed a bit odd considering there were only three pitches being used. It was too far away once it was dark to use the facilities.

Seafield fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Facilities were good and nice and clean.

Disliked Difficult to say due to it being winter, but would benefit from some kind of partition between pitches for better privacy as we have had on most other sites we have stayed at.

Seafield fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Shower block lovely and warm.
Host very friendly.
Great position, near a garden centre, Glastonbury docks and Lancaster all walking distance

Disliked No phone signal. Would benefit from a booster to get a phone signal. Felt on edge that people couldn't get inconact in an emergency

Lune fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Quiet, good location, late check in, facilities warm and clean.

Disliked Part way in the track splits in two with no clear signs as to which way to go. We Google mapped it as turning in a motor home could have been tricky. Stick to the left!
