Rock up here for a restful retreat among the comely grounds of Ashton Hall Caravan Park… Within Ashton Hall’s extensive estate are an 11-hole golf course with spectacular seaward vista, as well as a garden centre and café, all bordered by ancient woodlands and the River Lune, and direct access to the Lancashire Coastal Way and the Lune Estuary Footpath. Your holiday days will surely fill up quickly with all there is to do around the locale too – if you manage to tear yourself away from the site, that is – as the Forest of Bowland, the Lune Estuary and Lancaster city are all within six miles. On site, there's loads of room to wander around the grounds or in the adjoining forest for woodland walking routes, nature trails and cycle paths, many of which will take you from the site directly to the banks of the River Lune. On top of all this, the site takes pride in its sparklingly clean unisex toilet and shower facilities in a modern stone-built bathroom block with underfloor heating. The building includes an accessible bathroom/ family facility, a vanity area with washbasins, big mirrors and a hairdryer, a laundry room with washing machines and tumble dryers, and a covered washing-up area – like the site itself, the amenities block is safely secure and accessed via a secure key code. A local pub and restaurant lies within a mile of the estate, and Lancaster is three miles away.

喜欢 Peaceful close to nature. We saw 2 owls, a Hare and Dear. It's really dark at night I've never seen darkness like it but it would be great to see stars when there are no clouds just make sure you bring a torch as there is no nights to the toilet/shower block. Large long pitches and nice surroundings just shame about the hard standing needs redoing looks not well looked after.Toilets & shower block is a nice modern look. Washing up area is good too as there are a few.There's a map inside the toilet block to show you where things are which is helpful.

不喜欢 Hard standing needs some improvements and in the toilets the floor really needs a clean if you get a shower wear flip flops.

喜欢 Location...very peaceful...easy access to coast path. The site was really well maintained, and clearly 'loved'. Facilities block was great, and spotlessly clean. Always plentiful hot water.

不喜欢 Not really a dislike, but would have liked more hand soap dispensers in washroom

Power worked.

不喜欢 Told not to follow sat nav for right reasons but not clear enough that it’s a non accessible road, on top of that road in is a shambles as well.

No lights on entering with pitch number so had to go out with torch to try and find pitch.

Motorhome runs are overgrown and basically grass.

Attacked by every bug under the sun as soon as stepped outside due to stagnant lake right next to pitches.

For price better options and no idea how this is so highly rated

不喜欢 Lots of huge spiders on the ceiling in the toilet block. I would expect it to be more well maintained for the price. Sorry but I have to be honest. The sinks were full of food debris. Not the fault of the owners.

喜欢 Good sized showers. Somewhere to put things and a stool/hooks. Peaceful quiet site. Easy check in/good communication

不喜欢 Pitches untidy, toilets & showers not very clean, a lot of cobwebs/insects. Not what I would call fully serviced pitches due to the distance to water taps from pitches & no gray waste.
