What customers say

This well-maintained campsite offers spacious pitches, exceptionally clean facilities, and a welcoming atmosphere. Guests praised the friendly and helpful staff, the good value for money, and the convenient on-site bar and restaurant serving lovely food. The fishing lakes are a popular feature, with many guests enjoying successful angling. While most visitors had a fantastic experience, a few minor points were raised regarding occasional noise and the availability of certain facilities during peak times. This is a highly recommended site for both anglers and those seeking a peaceful, well-run getaway.

Electric optional grass touring pitch

Liked The ease of booking in at the site, and the cafe/bar staff were very pleasant and accommodating with our group of 9 campers. Nice to get a refund on the electric which wasn't used.

Disliked Not having the toilet block near to our pitches open. It was a pain getting to the open toilet block from the far side of the site. I don't think it was very clear, when booking, that the electric had to be paid on arrival. I thought it was all included in the original price. No site maps available.

Cabin (hot tub)

Liked We (my husband and I, our 9 year old fishing-mad son, and my parents) have just come back from 3 days/2 nights at Fendicks Fishery. We absolutely loved it - the entire site is so immaculate and well-kept, our cabins were beautiful and absolutely spotless with comfy beds, warm shower and a super stocked kitchen and despite only catching one little fish just before we left, my son had a great time on his first "fishing holiday". The staff were all so lovely and friendly - from bar staff when we checked in to the lady who took the fishing payments, to the restaurant staff. A special shout out to Tom who is a total legend and couldn't be more helpful if he tried! He was around on the day we arrived and checked in to see if we were ok. Last night we attempted to start the hot tub and were a little unsure - he came within minutes, sorted us out and stayed until we were sure we knew what we were doing! What a lovely guy.
The food at the restaurant is a-ma-zing. Between the 5 of us we had different lunches one day and different mains the next and they were all so delicious, high quality meals and so well presented too.
Thank you Fendicks Fishery - my son is already asking when we can come back!

Disliked nothing!

Local attractions

Head to High Lodge (half an hour’s drive) to kickstart your tour of Thetford Forest. There are all sorts of ways to become one with the forest, from hiring out a Segway, taking an archery lesson or finding your zen with forest yoga. Go Ape Thetford (half an hour) will require a little bravery and some acrobatic skills for its treetop courses and zipwires, but on the ground, there are three cycling trails and four footpaths to follow from High Lodge. If you’re looking to find some places where the kids are likely to be entertained, Banham Zoo (35 minutes) is one such place, as are Melsop Farm Park (35 minutes) and Church Farm Stow Bardolph (15 minutes), two farm parks with a variety of animals and farm-style activities. A day at the coast is also possible from this site… just pick your seafront of choice. Perhaps Hunstanton (55 minutes) and Cromer (an hour and 20 minutes) to the north, or Great Yarmouth (an hour and 10 minutes) to the east? Towards the coast is Bressingham Steam & Gardens (40 minutes), a nice choice to see working steam locomotives in the flesh.
