  • Small family-run campsite near Church Stretton
  • Set in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty around 3 fishing lakes
  • Firepit, logs and kindling available for guests

Retreat to Oaklands Leisure and Fishery for quiet midweek escapes or peaceful weekends away in spectacularly scenic surroundings among the south Shropshire hills, on a base for long woodland walks, countryside cycling and castle exploring. And fishing: Oaklands is set around three well-stocked lakes, one for use as a syndicate lake and the othersopen for landing trout.

The site is set on 35 acres of fields, ten minutes' drive from the popular and heathery hills of the Carding Mill Valley, and from the pubs, cafés, restaurants and supermarket of the local town of Church Stretton. It's dog friendly, but please don't allow any pets anywhere near the lakes.

Friendly and helpful owners Christine and Richard are determined to have the site set up just how guests would want it, and can provide a firepit, a basket of logs and kindling for the campfire.

The cleanly-kept amenities include toilets and two shower blocks and toilets; there's also a washing-up area, chemical disposal and the means to charge your electrical bits and bobs.
