What customers say
Rustic charm with spacious pitches. Friendly staff get big ticks, but some facilities are basic. Great for fishing & quad biking. Expect mud after rain & parking can be tight in busy periods.

Meadow unpowered grass tent site
Liked Lots to do: woods to walk in, open field to play games in, pond to swim in and play park for children.
Disliked Having to camp all in a row instead of in a circle. And the smell outside the toilet.

The distance from home…
Lakeside unpowered grass tent site (large)
Liked The distance from home
Disliked Wasn't quiet and tranquil, screaming kids and adults till late and music blasting till early hours
Says no fires, yet drunk people were having bbqs...what is the difference!? Embers come off bbqs too
Rubbish all along woodland paths and around lakes

From the manager: No-one is blasting music till the early hours. (I check noise levels at 10pm/11pm and normally 12pm to ensure this doesn’t happen. Over the 4 nights you were here, neither you or anyone else raised this with me (otherwise I could have spoke to the people responsible)
BBQ’s are allowed still, everyone is informed to keep them off the ground, have water on stand by, and to not empty the ashes out (there’s a big difference between a bbq and a roaring camp fire) - and I’m not really sure why you needed to point out the people having a bbq had had an alcoholic drink. Lots of people drink on holiday, it’s quite normal.
I litter pick ALL the time, so there may have been some around but I doubt it was as bad as you make it sound.
I have loads of customers (families, couples, singles, groups) that come here multiple times a year. I doubt they would do so if the place was as bad as you seem to have made it out to be.
