  • Quiet secluded site close to Bicester
  • The closest site to Bicester Heritage (two miles)
  • Fishing lakes on site
What an excellent Oxfordshire site this is for anglers. And walkers. And quiet English countryside appreciators. For friendly and well-maintained Glebe Leisure Park is in a cracking countryside location on the edges of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire as well as Oxfordshire and has two fishing lakes on site as well as lots of trails all around. Dogs – and their owners – like this place too, as there are long walks and gravelled pathways with dog waste bins set at handy locations, and it's mighty like too that cyclists will like the gentle and short pedal along to local town Bicester... Any amenities you might need are sorted here, such as a loo and shower block with info room about the surrounding area, a toilet and shower facilities for disabled guests, a chemical disposal point, drinking water outlets and a car park.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked Spacious pitch with great facilities and helpful staff. The dogs were very happy with the enclosed walk through the trees and the walk around the fishing lake. Very peaceful sleep - all we could hear were owls!!

Disliked Nothing really - but you might need levelling ramps on some pitches (though no big deal in the scheme of things and I am loathe to describe that as a 'dislike' but more as a 'heads up')

Camping pod (four person)

Liked I stayed in Willow pod. Lovely for one or two people with your tables and camping kitchen and beds. Like a little home from home. Lots of space. Quiet and tidy.

I was on my own so I had a really nice set up. I even had my moon chair, side table and foot stool for sitting on the porch. Each pop also has a wooden table and benches that you can sit at and use.

Disliked I did not have a problem with the showers. Some people I think just want everything and forget that they are camping. I had hot water all the time and everything was tidy and clean. I was not at peak time though. One of the shower blocks froze during one of the nights stay when I was there. So I just used the other one. No problems and the burst pipe was fixed by the next day. I did not dislike anything really. I found it a very nice place to be. I did not try the wifi so I can not comment on using that. I really enjoyed it there.

Electric grass pitch

Liked We used this site and a halfway stop over for 1 night on our long journey from north to south and i picked it because it was a 5 minute detour off th4 m40 which was a shirt detour on our journey. Pleasantly it was a Great reception when we arrived and all th4 useful info given.. me and my daughter had a lovely walk around the sites fishing lake and private walk and saw rabbits and a dear and fish topping out of the water.. all the expected amenities were there even a car / caravan washing facility which was a nice touch but everyrhing you needed was there and it was nice and clean and showers were nice and hot. Recommended place and I will be booking the same stop over on the same journey next year.

Disliked I didn't get more time there to take a fishing rod because of only being there overnight.. next year ill bring a couple of rods

Camping pod (four person)

Liked Really beautiful rural setting, we enjoyed our view of the stars each night and hearing a local owl. The showers were clean and hot, and check in was straightforward

Disliked It would be great if they hired out fire pits and sold wood as fuel so we didn’t have to bring our own.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Excellent warm reception by staff on duty .
Nice hot showers but a tad on the small side tearing keeping your clothes dry when changing into them .
Lovely well tended grounds.
2 beautiful lakes to walk around or picnic by .
Nice large pitches for caravans &awnings or campervans and drive away awnings .
The butchers Arms pub well worth avisit good food and a friendly atmosphere 👌

Disliked Only a small gripe
Be aware there isn't a shop on site but they do sell bread and milk and ice lollies .also a coffee machine available in the reception.

Camping pod (four person)

Liked Beautiful location, peaceful and friendly for everyone
The dogs loved it here and myself and my siblings
We did wish we did more days

Disliked Very limited hot water for a shower, it was cold before 7am

Needs more community fire pits and a replacement of the current one as it’s broken.

Eco pod was quiet small for being advertised to have 4 in and was cold at night but too hot in the day .

Local attractions

Plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés are in Glebe Leisure's local town of Bicester within a couple of miles, and designer clothes and accessories in the outlet shopping centre Bicester Village. Glebe is the closest site to Bicester Heritage, the first park in the UK for the tender loving restoration care of classic and vintage cars, motorbikes and planes, all on over 345 acres of an old RAF bomber station. The centre's been described as 'a historic motoring fan's idea of heaven' so do speed along there if old engines make your motor hum. Twelve miles from the site is simply smashing Blenheim Palace, given to the first Duke of Marlborough by Charlie 2 and handed down through the Churchill family to reach one Winston some decades back. You really should have a trip... Also within 12 miles are another few British institutions: the dizzying array of arty treasures at the National Trust's Waddesdon Manor; Broughton Castle at Banbury, and days out spectating fast types at Silverstone Circuit.
