- Family-friendly atmosphere and newly-renovated amenities
If you're off for the day to Ingoldmells, how about a huge English – or veggie – breakfast first... before a 15-minute stroll into town? And then another stroll back, for dinner and an evening's relaxing in a family-friendly pub and restaurant? Have a stay at friendly and welcoming The Kings Head, just west of Ingoldmells in the small town of Addlethorpe.
In a peaceful setting near Skegness and with easy access to the sights and attractions of Lincolnshire and beyond, the Kings Head is a family-run pub and restaurant with high standards, a welcoming vibe and homecooked food alongside a wide range of beers and wines.
It's a five-minute drive from Ingoldmells from here (although you might opt to walk each day if you're having the full English beforehand) and less than five miles from more seaside days at Lincolnshire's most visited seaside town Skegness.
The site shower block has been overhauled high standards, and a new heating system installed so that all days can start off with a piping hot shower, whatever the weather. And then a mega big breakfast, and then – perhaps – another stroll into Ingoldmells, a drive into Skegness or a potter along the Lincolnshire coast…?

Maybe with all these things that were wrong you should have gone to tell the staff rather than wait till after the fact when nothing can be done? You reported the toilet on Sunday we called an engineer to call out but when he arrived you told him oh don’t worry we are fine using the shower block as you were leaving the folllowing morning! As for saying the Furnature was dated yes it’s 2 years old leather reclining sofas and chairs and a solid oak dining table and a 50 inch flat screen the microwave is actually brand new only being in for two months? So I disagree with your review and the fact that you didn’t report anything but rather go and make up a bad review. Instead of giving the staff the chance to rectify anything. It’s a shame that the thousands of bookings that rent the statics and never had a bad word to say didn’t write their reviews because I am certain that they would have something totally different to say but like the saying goes you can please some of the people most of the time but not all the people all of the time but thanks for your review we will take on board your gripes and change nothing oh other than the toilet handle that was fine before you came 😉 |

Local attractions
Ingoldmells five minutes drive or 15 minutes' walk from The Kings Head is probably best known for its theme park Fantasy Island, with indoor and outdoor rides and the world’s longest suspended rollercoaster. Shops, arcades and a huge indoor market open seven days a week are recommended stopoffs in town too.
The nearest beach from the pub is a mile away, more sands are at Skegness five miles away, or you could travel a bit further up the coast to other Lincolnshire seaside towns like Sutton on Sea and Mablethorpe, and inland for the non-strenuous strolls and cycles of the flat Lincolnshire Wolds.
Plenty of family options as well as the seaside resorts are handy from here if you're around with the kids, such as the open-air museum of The Village Church Farm, telling the tale of rural British life before mass urbanisation, alongside family activities like chicken feeding, fancy dress, bug hunting and storytelling – do drop in to say hi to Bob the Hornsby steam engine too.
Also see nearby Walsingham Abbey, a monastic house and place of pilgrimage until it was destroyed (boo) by bad old Henry 8 in the 16th century. The ruins of the medieval priory still spectacularly stand today; take a guided tour of Walsingham to see all the spots of interest as well as the shrines and pilgrimage history of the village.

Hello thank you for your comments. Firstly it does state when booking that you can not leave your car on site.
If you had spoken to staff and told them you couldn’t find anywhere to park they would of allowed you to park on the private back land unfortunately you never so we could not do anything to help after you have left.
There was a toilet seat broken which was replaced as soon as we were informed again had you told us on your discovery this would of been replaced sooner.
The barrier system is there for the security of all caravans this system is in the process of being changed.
Thank you
