Perfect no frills camping for all ages
Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)
Liked if your looking for a camp site thats back to nature, no frills back to basics then Bradshaws farm is the place !!!
The owners Wendy and Richard are genuine down to earth people and Hayley and Jane who help out are absolutley lovely.
On site theres a shower (which is cleaned daily and re stocked with shower gel) porto loos which again are cleaned regulary and retocked with toilet paper and a new bar of soap (just a shame some people think theyre freebies and can help themselves to them and leave a mess then complain theyre a mess !!!).
Theres paddling pools that can be hired for the day for just £5 which was brill in the heat weve had. Theres also an ice cream van which visits daily.
Just across the road from the campsite is the working farm, which you can have a look roumd if someone is available to show you around. Theres also a farm shop for all your everyday needs plus fresh fruit and veg and well stocked fridges of meat and all at very reasonable prices. then theres the farm cafe (which is only open some days due to how busy wendy and richard are) but Wendy will let you now the night before if you wish to book in for a breakfast which we would fully recommend as they were amazing and good value for the money.
All in all a perfect site for a quiet no frills trip away.
We WILL definatley be returning.
Disliked Having to come home 😪

A lovely stay dead cheap with delightful hosts.
Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)
Liked The main thing to say initially is that this is all based on the fact that it cost us £12 per night. If we were paying £80 a night we’d expect more facilities, but at £12 we got exactly what we paid for (which is what we wanted.
Our 6 year old daughter absolutely loved saying hello to the Shetland pony and goats.
Lovely setting, easily accessed and signposted.
Portaloo toilets were absolutely fine. Shower was available but not needed and the tap was helpful for the washing up.
Loved chatting to Richard and Wendy who were lovely hosts. Wendy even gave my daughter some carrots to feed the animals!
Going over the road there’s a small farm shop (freezers and fridges with ice creams and drinks etc - just ring the doorbell on the table to get Wendy’s attention).
Lovely big space to camp mostly where you want.
Disliked I didn’t really dislike anything to be honest. We knew what to expect and we got it! Perhaps having a sign just before the turning into the campsite could be helpful?

For what we paid, it was great. 1 night stop over.
Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)
Liked The site is large and plenty of space and pitch choices. Lovely quiet site. Nice walk along the quiet country lane to the pub. The weather was fantastic (which helps alot). It is a VERY basic site. Water tap, portaloos (2) Shower (1). Great price £14 for the night perfect for what we needed - 1 night stay over whilst picking up our son from Uni. We didn't visit the farm shop or have breakfast, which i would have liked to have done. Just had no time.
Disliked The portaloos were smelly and really yukky, dirty toilet paper all over the floor, bin overflowing (The site was busy mind and it was hot - some people really are rather disgusting). No water to wash your hands after, just hand sanitizer.
The shower was a good size (it's in a shed). Wasn't hot though, which again wasn't a problem as it was so hot outside however it just managed to get luke warm. Also there's a sink in the shower shed, but no tap... so clean your teeth when you shower.

From the manager: Hello Victoria the price is £12 per night not £14, we don’t pretend to be Ritz with these prices, this is a budget site with budget prices. We try to keep things good but as you say it was busy and some people can be mucky. We will be looking at the handwashing for toilets and will have more toilets for the bigger bookings. Thank you for being positive and not criticising for the sake of saying something. However I don’t bite and would welcome a friendly chat so that going forward we can put right a few things. I might look like a Rottweiler but honestly wont attack x
I only stayed for one night,…

Liked I only stayed for one night, it was a nice place. It was quiet which was a bonus. Would definitely stay there again. I woke up really early, made myself a coffee and listened to the birds for a while before setting off at 7am to go fishing.

We would only return if facilites were improved.
Bell tent (basic, six person)
Liked The bell tents were new, clean and spacious. Good if you want a wild camping experience but i would not descrive it as glamping. The paddling pools were a good addition for a heatwave.
Disliked The toilets are porta loos, no handwashing in them.
Only 1 shower for the whole campsite, with no tap fitted ib the only sink.
No washing up facilities anywhere after cooking. We had to buy disposible plates and cutlery.
The farm shop was not stocked and had no food left to buy at the start of a bank holiday weekend.
The grass was not cut, too long for kids to ride bikes on.

From the manager: Well hello again Rebecca, you can be so lovely to talk to but when you get back to your keyboard the knives start flying!!! As I remember you asked for a paddling pool which we don’t really do because people have been so disrespectful allowing dogs in and puncturing them. I said I had 2 brand new ones and you agreed £5 per day - you snook off the other day without any payment! And you still find it right to complain - you could have come and spoken to us about washing facilities, you know give me some positive feedback - you I thought was a really decent person, but no as soon as you can stab here we go right for the jugular! Ughh! The shop is stocked, the grass we have looked at and it’s perfectly ok for kids to play on. Not ready for cutting again just yet. Well you won’t recommend and you won’t book again - will we miss you ? Well I would miss the nice, friendly person I welcomed on the site but not the nasty keyboard warrior who thinks they can walk all over us with words in a review! Look Rebecca keep your £10 and put it towards your next posh glamping holiday , hope you have a happier life x
Perfect back to basics camping!
Non-electric grass pitch (pet friendly)
Liked Perfect! Back to basics camping with portaloos, a shower and drinking water, plenty of space to pitch in a lovely green space. Camp site had no traffic roaring past as you're in the countryside, lovely to hear the birds in the mornings and evenings too. Richard was friendly and welcoming and we would love to come back; thank you!

Liked Spacious
Disliked * Grass looked like it’s only cut once a month — it was extremely long and difficult to walk through.
* The grass also smelled strongly of urine in several areas.
* Only two chemical portable toilets available for the whole site.
* Just one water tap and no waste disposal facilities. Water stopped working at 8pm with no prior notice.
* No reception on site.
* Farm shop was closed during the stay.

From the manager: Hello Janice the grass was long at the time as we cut it for animal feed and it was obviously cut very soon after your visit, with regard to the strong smell of urine in patches of grass not sure what caused that!!!!! ???could be campers? Only two portable toilets because of unprecedented bookings - but more toilets are in the fore of our intentions. Just one water tap has been fine for the whole site and last year no complaints. The waste disposal is in place - you could have asked us. Water stopped working? Not aware of this as this would impact on farm - this could only have been temporary as we did not observe this. No reception on site - this is a relatively small site so we do expect guests to knock on door where we have list of guests arriving and check them in. The shop is open now as the proprietor had broken foot, Richard recalls you arriving and says don’t bother with £12 a night stays, go somewhere more expensive. so sorry for your unfortunate booking but as you aren’t going to recommend or come again you wont be too bothered will you Janice?
