Positiv The team are fabulous! welcoming and so helpful. They bought the ponies over for the children to pet.
Shop is very rustic, but lovely and sells all food and drinks necessities.
Paddling pools to hire for £8 per day which is great in the summer.
Jacuzzis can be hired for £10 per hour

Negativ No hot running water for washing up dishes and hand washing.
I'm not a fan of portaloos, but they were well looked after.

Positiv Lovely farm run by a kind couple. The campsite is basic but clean. The toilets in good condition and stocked. Loved the little farm shop with fresh fruit!

Negativ The camping field is quite uneven and there were a few taller plants. Not the safest for little children and a bit tricky to navigate in the dark.

Positiv Lovely open quiet field. It's very much back to basics with only water, portaloos and I believe showers (although I didn't use them!) Loads of space so nowhere near your neighbours.

Negativ This is for information really, not a problem for us. There aren't loads of loos and they don't have handwash (just gel) so note if that's an issue for you. There's no shop or pub in easy walking distance so bring what you need. It's only a short drive to a shop but if you're in a van or motorhome go before you set up!

Vom Platzbetreiber: Sorry to contradict what you say about hand wash - you obviously didn’t try the hand foam in the dispenser and pumped water. So you are not right about that. As for shops well you are coming into the countryside so most of our campers come prepared. We do have a small shop selling drinks, snacks, fruit and veg. Thank you but this isn’t a very constructive review. We respond swiftly when there is something that needs attention. Ps why would you recommend to friends but not come back???

Positiv We loved our first stay testing our new tent.

Positiv Nice and peaceful. Easy to get to. Couldn't find where we needed to check in ( not a problem really we just pitched our tent )
When we found the farm shop hosts were friendly.

Negativ There are 3 portaloos for two very large fields which is an issue if very busy. The portaloo was missing a closed flap so you could see the contents 💩and didn't smell good. Shower was excellent however there is only one. Big problem was no waste bins you have to take it home we literally could not fit it in our car so had no choice but to leave it. Contact phone numbers were not answered.

Vom Platzbetreiber: Well anonymous only one field and a little bit extra, we take advice from toilet provider regarding how many people to toilet and that is how it is! As to waste - look at Pitchup policy - we are following what we can legally do - it’s our intention to put a big bin in in future. Sorry you don’t like the portaloos but this is why we are a budget site and they are cleaned every day, not sure why you would make such comment? Yes we found your bag of rubbish which wasn’t very nice.? My mobile isn’t taken around with me because it can be precarious on site, - don’t want to lose or damage it. I note you have given a 9 why If you don’t want to come again or recommend? Not very constructively criticised - just confusing - we have just had a gathering this weekend and they are coming back and will be recommending wholeheartedly - so sorry for your wasted stay???

Negativ There wasn’t much to do around.
The porta loos stunk and didn’t have a closed compartment for waste so you can see everyone’s business and smell it immensely.
They charged £70 a day for the hot tub although they said on the phone £10 an hour. My friends didn’t arrive until 2:30pm and were only in the hot tub for 2 hours out the night and they still charged £70!
The hot tub wasn’t even switched on properly as it was cold!
They moaned about our family using too much electric when they only had 1 extension plugged in with 2 fans and 2 cool boxes.
They charged over the odds to fill up a swimming pool once (£10)
I went to fill the water up once and it wasn’t coming out of the hose although it was running to somewhere else…
The shower is in a shed and when you come out of the shower you can see people in their “vip” teepee area and hot tub.
The teepee tents are far too close together.
When you bring your own stuff the teepee tents were £44 my family paid £144 for it all to be set up they had to blow the air beds up and there was 4 of them!
Overall I would never return. Terrible service and ridiculous pricing for the extras.
Also the farm shop looked like a dumping ground with cardboard everywhere and flies i didn’t know where to go so stepped back out and had to ring on the website.

Vom Platzbetreiber: A member of your group contacted Richard and said she wanted to pay for a hot tub all day but nobody was to get in that until her nieces arrive. Richard followed that to a tee. Regarding electricity- they requested electricity hookups which they hadn’t pre- booked so you are being very unfair as we put ourselves out to do this. We were assured that two little fans would only be used because of the capacity of the electricity supply.Then we find electric pans, hot plates etc all plugged in which tripped electric on 2 occasions. Nieces assured us they had a lovely time in hot tubs. At end of your stay we noted the temperature of that hot tub had been increased to 40 degrees what a terrible waste of electric. We noted your hostility from the very beginning and knew this was going to be very difficult as squabbling between family members was witnessed by us and others. The pricing is exactly as said, if hot tub isn’t used that is not our fault. The bell tents basic are £22 per night and furnished are £60 per night with up to 6 people in them, electric hookup is £12 per night, which are very reasonable. Regarding cardboard - government warnings no bonfires, bbqs etc dear, dear you seem very petty - the shop was extremely busy despite the fact we are having to store cardboard, other people are kind. We suggest you sort your family issues out before you come on a public campsite as it was very embarrassing for all, - other people noticing and commenting!. Can you let us know where you see ‘luxury teepees’ as we only do furnished which is exactly what one of your party had. Sorry you didn’t enjoy your experience, the bell tents were all taken and people were having a lovely time when we went on the site, so that goes against what you say doesn’t it? Bye Bye
