A aimé I only stayed for one night, it was a nice place. It was quiet which was a bonus. Would definitely stay there again. I woke up really early, made myself a coffee and listened to the birds for a while before setting off at 7am to go fishing.

A aimé Perfect! Back to basics camping with portaloos, a shower and drinking water, plenty of space to pitch in a lovely green space. Camp site had no traffic roaring past as you're in the countryside, lovely to hear the birds in the mornings and evenings too. Richard was friendly and welcoming and we would love to come back; thank you!

N'a pas aimé * Grass looked like it’s only cut once a month — it was extremely long and difficult to walk through.

* The grass also smelled strongly of urine in several areas.

* Only two chemical portable toilets available for the whole site.

* Just one water tap and no waste disposal facilities. Water stopped working at 8pm with no prior notice.

* No reception on site.

* Farm shop was closed during the stay.

Réponse du gestionnaire : Hello Janice the grass was long at the time as we cut it for animal feed and it was obviously cut very soon after your visit, with regard to the strong smell of urine in patches of grass not sure what caused that!!!!! ???could be campers? Only two portable toilets because of unprecedented bookings - but more toilets are in the fore of our intentions. Just one water tap has been fine for the whole site and last year no complaints. The waste disposal is in place - you could have asked us. Water stopped working? Not aware of this as this would impact on farm - this could only have been temporary as we did not observe this. No reception on site - this is a relatively small site so we do expect guests to knock on door where we have list of guests arriving and check them in. The shop is open now as the proprietor had broken foot, Richard recalls you arriving and says don’t bother with £12 a night stays, go somewhere more expensive. so sorry for your unfortunate booking but as you aren’t going to recommend or come again you wont be too bothered will you Janice?

Very clean toilets.
Very polite and welcoming staff.
Super quiet and relaxing at night time and the glamping pods are huge and definitely ideal for families. We have been coming since last year and recommended it to everyone. We love it here.

A aimé Nice location, simple farmer's fields.
Left to yourself, no set pitches.
Toilets,shower,water,farmshop 👍

A aimé We hired one of the bell tents, very spacious and cozy. Staff was very friendly and made sure we were settled in and happy.
For the toilets being portaloos they were in rather good condition

N'a pas aimé Not that it can be helped by the staff but last book in time is 20:00, this is not followed as someone rocked up at 22:30 not being mindful of others on site and blinding thought tents with there car lights.
I know this wasn’t down to staff was just the one thing that bothered us.

N'a pas aimé We didn’t end up staying, we arrived the pitches weren’t even pitches. The grass was unbelievable! It was so long we’re lucky we actually managed to get the caravan in and around the ‘campsite’
Very overgrown field with no markings of pitches. No bins you have to take rubbish home with you.
Really unimpressed as we paid for and expected more from this campsite. We had to find alternative accommodation and this ended up costing more money.

Sorry you were inconvenienced and I believe it was you who contacted and and requested a refund - this was done so why be so acerbic why post on here to try and trample on us? Life can be bad enough without the likes of you putting your dopey ten penneth on. Go to your posh sites and be with your posh friends. Come down to earth sometime and meet us mere mortals you might realise we are quite ok human beings and just remember this we are all in this together and none of us get out alive! Be more mindful and kind perhaps do a random act of kindness one day?

A aimé Great bell tent loved it! And the farm across from the campsite - the ponies were so so cute !

N'a pas aimé I don’t like to complain I was very happy and we had the best time but the cleanliness wasn’t to the highest standard that I’ve experienced before. However, we were camping so I know it’s not always the easiest thing to do (keep clean)
