  • Large touring site in Warwickshire, with 20 acres of lakes
  • Twycross Zoo 10 minutes’ drive; National Space Centre 35 minutes
  • Lake beaches for sailing, paddleboarding, fishing and windsurfing
Want to spend your holidays lakeside – perhaps relaxing as you wait for fish to bite or honing your paddleboarding skills? You can do all this and more at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, a family-oriented touring site spread over 50 acres in the Warwickshire countryside. There are 20 acres of lakes here, so you can get up to a wide range of watersports, from boating and kayaking to windsurfing, plus the above-mentioned paddleboarding and fishing. Taster sessions may be available if you fancy trying out something new. There are also colourful pedalos shaped like flamingos, swans and dragons, so you can cut a fine figure on the lake. Fishing in the pools is included for one person in the group (and under 14s go free), and additional adults can join for just a short fee per day. Back on dry land, you can relax on the sandy lake beaches or head to the site’s 12-hole crazy golf course with a nautical theme. For the kids, meanwhile, there's a fab adventure playground, with a dedicated section for youngsters under five. Several picnic and barbecue areas are available, with café and pub catering a mile to the east in the pleasant town of Market Bosworth (five minutes’ drive). Dogs are welcome at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, but they need to be kept on leads at all times. Please note that this site only accepts family groups and couples aged over 25. On-site facilities include a dedicated toilet and shower block, washing-up facilities, Elsan disposal, fresh water and waste disposal. Calor and Campingaz bottles are available for exchange.

What customers say

This is a beautiful lakeside campsite with spacious pitches and friendly, helpful staff. Visitors praised the numerous water sports activities, man-made beach, and proximity to town. While many enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and wildlife, some noted that the toilet and shower facilities were dated and could be cleaner. There are also mentions of occasional noise and a preference for the site to focus on touring pitches rather than lodges.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked We had a great stay! We loved the lake. We took our own kayak and paddle board (for a small fee to launch) and it was perfect for this. The toilet and shower facilities were clean, the pitch was great. Overall a brilliant stay.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked The lady on reception was very friendly .
The pitch we had was large.

Disliked Avoid pitch 16 unless you are happy to have everyone and their dogs walk across your pitch to get to the lake even right past your caravan door. one lady let her dog wee on our pitch and when i mentioned that that wasnt nice she said its only wee.
The toilet block is very tired. when we were there the ladies and mens toilets were left full of excrement which some one couldnt be botherd to flush away.
The showers were left very dirty after been used by unsupervised children.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked The atmosphere is amazing, and there are plenty of things to do, such as playing mini golf. There’s also a playground for kids and a mini beach, which we really enjoyed. The sanitary block is warm at all times. There’s a Co-op grocery store very close by, so you can leave your caravan and drive there in just a few minutes. There are also takeaway options and restaurants nearby.
P.s take some extra food for the ducks

Disliked The pitches are very close together. There was basically only one tree separating us from the pitch behind, so I could smell what our neighbours were smoking and hear their conversations, although that was not their intention.

The sanitary block is old and not very clean, with lots of spiders and cobwebs. You also have to pay 20p each time to use the hair dryer. I’m not exactly sure how it works, but it’s definitely not free.

Electric gravel touring pitch (waterside)

Liked Position

Disliked Dogs off leads, although not many, but they do specify 'dogs on leads' our dog isn't friendly with other dogs,so if your dog is off lead and gets bitten by a dog on a lead because you allow it to happen......it's on you.

Twycross Zoo (10 minutes’ drive) is home to almost 100 different species of animals, with a special focus on primates – from great apes like gorillas and orangutans, to monkeys – plus lemurs and meerkats. Younger children might like the immersive touch-and-feel activities in the Gruffalo Discovery Land. The kids may not be in school, but there are real-life history lessons at the Bosworth Battlefield Heritage Centre (10 minutes). Here you can take a guided walk around the fields where the 1485 battle took place, learn about the War of the Roses and discover how King Richard III lost his life in the fray. There are also children’s hunts and talks. Leave the past behind and zoom ahead to the future (or at least into space) at Leicester’s National Space Centre (35 minutes). You can experience what it’s like inside the International Space Station, see a sample of moon rock and learn about the universe in the Sir Patrick Moore Planetarium.
