Want to spend your holidays lakeside – perhaps relaxing as you wait for fish to bite or honing your paddleboarding skills? You can do all this and more at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, a family-oriented touring site spread over 50 acres in the Warwickshire countryside. There are 20 acres of lakes here, so you can get up to a wide range of watersports, from boating and kayaking to windsurfing, plus the above-mentioned paddleboarding and fishing. Taster sessions may be available if you fancy trying out something new. There are also colourful pedalos shaped like flamingos, swans and dragons, so you can cut a fine figure on the lake. Fishing in the pools is included for one person in the group (and under 14s go free), and additional adults can join for just a short fee per day. Back on dry land, you can relax on the sandy lake beaches or head to the site’s 12-hole crazy golf course with a nautical theme. For the kids, meanwhile, there's a fab adventure playground, with a dedicated section for youngsters under five. Several picnic and barbecue areas are available, with café and pub catering a mile to the east in the pleasant town of Market Bosworth (five minutes’ drive). Dogs are welcome at Bosworth Lakeside Lodges, but they need to be kept on leads at all times. Please note that this site only accepts family groups and couples aged over 25. On-site facilities include a dedicated toilet and shower block, washing-up facilities, Elsan disposal, fresh water and waste disposal. Calor and Campingaz bottles are available for exchange.

Powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked Always enjoy our stay at Bosworth Lake. Big grass pitch with plenty of space. Clean toilet facilities. We came to bbq, feed the ducks, walk around the lake and drive into Bosworth village.
With 2 young children we accomplished everything.

Disliked We knew the weather would be autumnal, so didn't expect to play crazy golf or water sports.
The shop was closed throughout our stay but it wasn't a problem to us. It would have been good if we had had wifi on the grass pitch.

Liked Lakeside was nice. Would have been good for watersports had we gone in the summer

Disliked On the morning we were leaving I had not heard from the site. I called for confirmation of our arrival and reassured we would receive an email prior to arrival. No email, Tried to call on route but no answer. Then informed offices were closed. As a result at 7pm in the dark unable to get onto the site as we had no code to enter the gates. After about 15 minutes someone leaving gave us their code. Information leaflet at the reception area supplied us with pitch number. Inadequate lighting and numbering of pitches made it very hard to find. At about 3am electricity went off in motorhome. Found out in the morning about 4 pitches lost the electric. I was informed it happened the previous night also. I informed the reception staff that we had no electric and they said it would be fixed very soon. We went out for the day returning at 6.30pm to find still no electric, on our pitch and other pitches had cleared off. We contacted the site warden who advised us we should have been allocated a different pitch by reception. They had not even tried to contact us to inform us. He was a gem though. I believe he was called Nick, and we followed him to a pitch with a lovely lakeside view.
The site needed some tidying in parts. Some entertainment facilities eg. mini golf looked pathetic and they charge people £10 to use it. Shower block and toilets very basic, cold, and not particularly clean. With cobwebs and spiders. Signs around the site and in the info leaflets clearly stating guests were not allowed in the vicinity of private lodges made you feel unwelcome and a bit like lepers (wouldn't want the common campers mixing with lodge owners). Sadly will not be going back as it was not what I am used to on any site.

Liked We love the pitch we were given, close to the facilities and a lovely view of the lake. The kids enjoyed the park, open space and the wildlife. There was lots to keep them occupied. The toilets/showers were clean and tidy. It was a 30 minute walk from Market Bosworth and close to a heritage railway.

Disliked WiFi provided is slow so we just used our own data (not a big complaint)

Liked A beautiful pitch that you felt you could be anywhere.
Plenty to do, without there being too much around.
Staff go above and beyond and Ros at reception truly made our stay perfect.
Toilets and showers were close to the pitch which was ideal.
Late check in was simple. Despite reception being closed, everything was laid out for us, with simple instructions.
It had a community feel that made us want to stay longer. We will definitely be returning.

Liked Strange place this in general a great place but very dead no atmosphere very run down touring site but strangely very peaceful and enjoyable lots of residential pitches that are very low end residential with shower/toilet facilities very dated but so strange as they have what will be £200k lodges on site a weird combination of exclusive with council houses a bizarre combination really that am not convinced about but maybe it’s work in progress don’t let it put you off try it but not for long unless your are into fishing or canoeing
