What customers say
Stunning lakeside, packed with family and watersport fun. Friendly staff, generous pitches and wildlife loved. While location's a winner, some noted dated loos and weather-worn pitches. Lodge focus is shrinking touring spots.

Liked nice site, easy to find and check in process was easy.
Lady on check in was very helpful, our pitch was electric hook up but the point was a bit far and our cable wouldn't reach so she kindly let us borrow a longer cable as they couldn't offer a swap due to being fully booked.
my son loved the play park and mini golf. there was some damage on the mini golf and this was fixed very quickly.
one thing to note is the little beach area is a no dog zone which i didnt realise when i booked but we did a walk around the lake instead.
The pitches are a good size, luckily the pitch behind us left and all the children around us had plenty of space to play which was lovely.
overall this is a good small quiet site, the market town is a few minutes away by car, if you love water then this is a good place to go. The only thing i felt was missing was maybe a little coffee shop. The shop on site is small, they sell the essentials and some drinks but something like coffee and cake so you can sit by the water would have been lovely.
We would come back :)

Brilliant loacation let down by toilets and bin/elsan area
Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Brilliant location by side of lake
Disliked Toilets and showers let the site down, not enough and not clean enough. The bin and Elsan area was poor with step up to bins which could be dangerous in wet weather. Also this area smelled at all times.

What a wonderful stay we have had!
Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked We have had the best stay and the 3 children have been living their best lives!
The staff have been super helpful and so friendly. The facilities are great and other guests and longer term caravan owners were so friendly.
We have been out on the lake, the children had their first go at paddle boarding, which we hired and we took our own kayak. They’ve made friends, fed the ducks and the carp and played crazy golf.
This is first site that I’ve been to which was actually quiet at night and to a decent hour in the morning.
We are so pleased to have found this site and will definitely be returning. We have made so many memories. Thank you for making our little holiday so special. We only hope that caravan area remains for families like ourselves.
Disliked We had a few issues with another family allowing their children to kick a football at our car but the warden and staff were very helpful and sorted the issue straight away.

Really hope the touring part stays, we would love to come back!!!!
Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Loved everything about this place, really relaxing by the beach, lovely dog walking around the lake, lots of family fun around the lake, a shop with just a few bits, felt family run, not commercialised, not lots of things for parents to have to spend money on to entertain kids, just traditional camping fun & games. We messed up our forward bookings so stayed on another 6 days, they were most helpful and accomodating

Third time we have been here…
Powered concrete and grass caravan site
Liked Third time we have been here so shows we like the place. Love the lake walk, fantastic for the dog, friendly helpful staff always smile and wave when they see you
Disliked Ladies showers being cleaned at 10.15 so closed, it would be better for cleaning to take place after 11am when you need to vacate your pitch
