  • Small dog-friendly site the banks of the river Severn
  • Adjacent to the Severn Way and half an hour’s walk from the canal
  • Wildlife haven within walking distance of pubs and Frampton on Severn
Craving a peaceful time filled with wildlife watching, long walks and relaxing by the water? On the banks of the River Severn and part of a working family farm with lots of livestock, Baldwin’s Brook Glamping in Gloucestershire fits the bill. This small site is a wildlife haven adjacent to the Severn Way, a long-distance trail that traces the river downstream. Birdwatching prospects are excellent here, and there’s plenty of peace if you’d rather sit and relax by a firepit or check out the stunning views and sunsets. From the farm, it’s a 45-minute walk to Frampton on Severn, which is home to the longest village green in England and the lively Frampton Country Fair (think funfair… and 400 stalls full of good stuff). Baldwin’s Brook Glamping is also half an hour’s walk away from the Cotswold Canal Trust Visitor Centre by the Gloucester and Sharpness Canal if you’d like to take a boat trip or sip a coffee by the canal. When you'd rather have a chilled beer, two pubs are within half a mile of the site (only 10 minutes’ walk away). Strike up a conversation with a local about the next Severn Bore, the huge tidal wave that races for 25 miles from Awre to Gloucester down the estuary just a handful of times per year. If you feel you haven’t done quite enough walking yet, the 102-mile Cotswold Way can be tracked down about 15 to 20 minutes’ drive away from the site; it passes by Berkeley Castle, which is otherwise a 20-minute drive away.

What customers say

This is a small, peaceful, and well-maintained site located by the River Severn, offering stunning views and wildlife spotting opportunities. Visitors praised the friendly and welcoming owners, James and Poppy, the clean and well-equipped glamping pods, and the spacious, fully-serviced touring pitches. The location is ideal for canal and countryside walks, with two pubs within easy walking distance. Some guests noted the lack of on-site toilet and shower facilities, but this was generally understood and accepted for short stays. Improvements to grey water disposal for motorhomes have been considered.

Bramley camping pod

Liked Lovely clean and well equipped pod. This is a peaceful location, which was ideal for our needs. Our friends had a motorhome pitch next to us. There was a large field for our dogs to run around in. We all had a very enjoyable time and met the owner, James, a lovely young man. We can recommend the Anchor restaurant for good well priced food and very friendly staff.

Fully-serviced gravel and hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Lovely quiet site beside the river. It was an ideal spot for my husband and I, and our two dogs. Our friends and dog stayed in the glamping pod. James, the owner came and introduced himself… very friendly and likeable young man. We had dinner at the Anchor restaurant, a couple of nights, and can thoroughly recommend!

Liked Brilliant quiet site.
Great views
Clean and tidy
Owners friendly

Disliked Not a massive fan of awnings on hard standing. I know many sites do this but hard standing under caravan only with grass under awning is far superior.
Others might like this 😃

Liked Quiet and natural. Loved the deer and the owl.

Disliked Pity there’s no shower toilet or disposal. Not even a bin. They do mention online but you need to be prepared.

From the manager: Hi, thank you for your review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay.

Sorry you were disappointed with our facilities. Our toilet emptying facilities are located near the entrance along with our bins - both recycling and general waste.
Our facilities are what we are allowed due to planning permission restrictions.
Thank you for your feedback, regards, Poppy.

Liked So peaceful with the most amazing view. Very small and so much wildlife to see and hear. There was an owl hooting in the tree opposite every afternoon we were there but I never got to see it. Also really close to some fab places to eat. We will definitely come again and for longer next time
