What customers say
Greenacres Campsite is praised for its excellent Forest of Dean location, with beautiful walks directly accessible. Visitors highlight the spotlessly clean, modern, and well-maintained facilities, including warm showers. The friendly and helpful staff, along with the on-site shop and cafe, are frequently mentioned positives. Pitches are generally described as spacious and level. Some minor issues noted include the access road, occasional Wi-Fi reliability, and a children's play area that could be enhanced. The site is highly recommended for its peaceful atmosphere and value.

Cool place for exploring, and hiking < 1.5h to Puzzlewood
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Clean well maintained site.
Good access to local walks...
Very quiet and peaceful...
Disliked ....Until the septic tank pump out... prep for may bank holiday weekend. Just bad timing...
Slight incline on pitch No7 too much for our levelling ramps if van faced down the slope, but when at 90deg, provided enough to get us level. If pitches either side of us were occupied we may not have been able to manoeuvre as pitches about 10m wide

Felt very welcome, facilities were exceptional inc toilets, showers.
Camping pod
Liked The pod was brilliant, clean, warm had a set of drawers and clothes rail. Came with a fridge and bottom sheet on mattress. Electric was included so made our stay comfortable and perfect. Even the TV had excellent reception. Near facilities which were 10/10

All in all I would definitely stop here again.
Electric optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Spacious pitches and very quiet. Friendly and chatty staff.. A guy comes along and delivers your BBQ and fetch's it back. Our pitch was a green pitch with optional EHU. We didn't use the EHU. It had lovely quiet atmosphere, everybody saying good morning as your passing by. I liked the availability of extra toilets on the grass pitch areas. And extra water access points. There was a path near by where people were biking and walking their dogs, although I didn't venture out there. The toilets and showers were clean and tidy..
All in all I would definitely stop here again.
Disliked Think they could have a bit more gravel driveway on the grass pitch.. It did rain quite a bit when we were there and I was worried whether me van would get stuck lol.. I was getting a lil anxious because i was using my van during the day and parking up again at night.. It was very dark if you had to walk down to toilets and showers at night..
They don't tell you about the little road bit on the entrance.. That can catch you out with the road surface and the hill.. It is a single track road..

One of the best campsites we visited, could be a benchmark for others.
Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Cleanliness and tidiness of this campsite was outstanding. Such a nice place to be. Great, friendly customer service and communication from the moment of booking. Very well maintained facilities. Easy access to the path leading the town (20min walk) and also to the woods and the Wye Valley. Electric hook ups with app monitoring and payment were brilliant and fairly priced.

Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Nice quiet site, facilities nice and clean. Only stayed overnight so we didn't use them much, owner was friendly and helpful (despite me misreading the pitch number and me pitching in the wrong place!!). Short drive to Monmouth which was lovely

Good location to access Wye Valley…
Electric optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Good location to access Wye Valley and the forest. Liked the hot showers & love the food waste bins next to the washing up sinks!
Disliked The owner came round both nights and made us feel incredibly uncomfortable. He was 'joking' about making sure not to scorch the grass. You *cannot* bring your own fire pit to this site (which is not specified on pitch up or their website at time of writing - we suggested they update), have you hire there's (very reasonable charge only £11). He lingered and looked in our tent, pointed at each of us to warm us about scorching the grass, and also 'joked' that his wife wasn't ever there because she was breaking into campers houses and waiting at the end of their beds. So strange. Also very unreasonable to joke about breaking into campers houses when he has all of our addresses from our bookings. Really creepy guy we left a day early.
