Me gustó This site was spotless, pitched well maintained, facilities very clean all the time.
The EHC us via an app and very easy to use. Would visit again.

No me gustó Timeout on gents loo lights could have been longer. Sit down for longer than 2 minutes you will be plunged into darkness.

Me gustó Excellent site, toilets, showers spotlessly clean, electric and app worked a treat, a lovely onsite shop/reception, amazing breakfast rolls. Friendly and helpful staff. The owners allowed us to come back later on our day of departure, so our tent could be packed away dry after a night and morning of rain, many thanks for that it helped us enormously. All in all a wonderful stay, I would not hesitate to recommend, will definitely be back

Me gustó Great location, friendly and helpful staff, modern, clean toilets and showers which were heated. Access to town and onwards to FoD via back gate over the fields so avoids busy road.

No me gustó Recent rain made site muddy. No hard standing available so we were on grass and struggled to get on the ramps due to skidding. Will book hard standing next time.

Me gustó Lovely site. The pod was ace!! Spacious, comfortable and exceeded expectations. Facilities were clean and well maintained, as was the general site.

No me gustó Not a fan of metered electric, but understandable I guess nowadays.
Hairdryers either free, or provide plug sockets in shower block to use your own (apologies if i missed them, but I couldn't see any)

Me gustó Friendly spacious. Good size pitches. 20 min walk from Coleford. Very clean and tidy. Little shop where you can get breakfast baps, tea, coffee piza, plus other bits and bobs. Catch the bus from Coleford to Ross On Wye or Monmouth.

No me gustó Picky i know but paying extra for wifi. Paying extra for electric which is metered. But i guess lots of sites do that.

The decision to charge separately for electricity and Wi-Fi was not one we took lightly, and we gave it considerable thought.
Previously, we charged a flat rate of £6 per night for electricity. However, with the increasing popularity of electric vehicles and some guests understandably feeling this was unfair when using very little electricity, we decided to introduce a fairer system.
After extensive research, we invested in MetPow, developed in collaboration with Rolec, allowing guests to pay only for the electricity they use. So far, guests have paid anywhere from around 40p per night upwards, with nobody reaching the previous £6 daily charge. Our electricity consumption has also reduced, making this a positive step towards sustainability.
Feedback from guests using the system has been overwhelmingly positive. However, we appreciate that apps aren't for everyone, so next year we will also offer the option of a flat rate, giving guests a choice.
Regarding Wi-Fi, our small charge of £1 per device per 24 hours helps us manage bandwidth and prevent excessive downloading or streaming from affecting the service available to other guests.
Our aim is never to add unnecessary charges, but to keep our pricing fair, transparent and sustainable while continuing to invest in the campsite and its facilities. We appreciate all feedback and continually review how we operate to ensure the best experience for our guests. I will certainly be looking at wi-fi options over the winter.
