Visitors praise the friendly atmosphere, spacious pitches and clean, basic facilities including hot showers. Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Gorgeous place, stunning views and clean toilets!!!
Disliked The showers cost £1 which is fine if you get 10 minutes (enough for a hair wash). However, you only get 3 minutes and the first minute of freezing cold while it heats up.

Great location for easy access to all the local walks.
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Great location for all the local walks, Mam Tor, pennine way ETC. field was nice & well kept with the grass was kept short along with plenty of space dispute it been pretty busy.
Disliked Toilet block was a little outdated there was 1 shower for all the males on site. Poor phone signal on my O2 phone.
For the £22 per nite I paid I was expecting a little bit more.
I had stayed in better campsites the previous days for £9 & £11 respectively .

Good campsite. But probably would stay again due to the price and loos
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The location to Mam tor and Castleton
Disliked Only two toilets to service the whole campsite, flush on either wasn’t great
Only one shower per gender to service whole campsite! Didn’t mind paying the £1 if you can shower when you want. If you get behind a family then you could be waiting ages.
