Camping de ferme populaire, axé sur l'essentiel, idéal pour explorer le Peak District. Vues superbes, personnel sympa, ambiance détendue. Installations propres mais basiques. Certains notent le bruit, les installations limitées en haute saison et le vent.

A aimé Tucked away in the most amazing spot with so many lovely views and sunsets. Very laid back and simple campsite. Very basic facilities but clean and plenty of hot water. On a working farm and watched the sheep being brought in which was fun! Castleton was an easy walk away, and there was a multitude of walks straight from the campsite. So relaxing!Would definitely come back!

Stunning location, walks with breathtaking views from camp great value

A aimé Stunning views of Mam Tor from campsite, lots of sheep & lambs roaming around neighbouring fields they were so cute to see and funny to hear them all bleating.
No need to check in, just rock up set up & start your holiday.
**the camping field was flat which is a big bonus for sleeping!!**
Everything was straightforward, facilities were minimal but enough. We arrived Sunday of bank holiday, it was busy and there were small queues for the loo’s & showers - we stayed till the weds of May half term and found it was a lot quieter with no q’s for anything after the bank holiday.
We did a sunset walk to Mam Tor which is 45 mins from the camp to the top & it was breathtaking. We are a family of 4 with 11yr & 14yr and they loved our stay and didn’t want to leave.
We also walked into Castleton via Cave Dale which too took about 90mins, stopping for shade breaks - it was a heat wave when we were there!
That was a stunning walk but not suitable for small children as rocky & slippy in parts.
There was a pizza & jacket potato hut on site open Fri/sat/Sun we brought our own food so didn’t use but useful if you want a break from cooking!
There was also hot breakfasts available in the morning & ice cream, eggs etc available from the farm.
N'a pas aimé The freezer took about 24 hours to freeze water bottles - but it was a heat wave so that could be why. But this is only minor - we loved the site
My internet & phone signal was rubbish but it could be due to my provider - id mobile. O2 & vodaphone worked!

A aimé Perfect location for walking and within couple minutes drive into castleton for a bite to eat or a quick drink.
Pull up and pitch up wherever you want. Good to be surrounded by a working farm so the kids enjoyed seeing the sheep being herded in. Our 4 kids range from 8-13 years old and it felt safe enough to let them wander off to the toilets on their own at night. We marked customer service down a little bit purely because they were hard to get hold of a few times (working farm so sort of expect it a bit)
N'a pas aimé Could do with a few more toilets especially when busy and maybe extra showers. Although we didn't really have to wait long it wasn't that busy the day we were there.
Couple of times one of the 2 mens toilets was very blocked, but was sorted fairly quickly. Buying anything on site is difficult without cash as they have a very poor signal at the farm

N'a pas aimé 2 toilets and 1 shower for women. 1 toilet stopped working while we were there. Not the cleanest. Shower was hot. £1 for 3 minutes. A long wait for the shower when the site is busy.

A aimé Fantastic location, friendly owners, tuck shop on site. You can hire a firepit and buy wood. Good gashing up facilities and communal fridge freezer, shower is okay, bring £1
