What customers say
This small, immaculately clean and well-maintained campsite is praised for its stunning location and beautiful views, offering a peaceful escape. Pitches are spacious with water and EHU, and the site is ideally situated for local walks, including the Monsal Trail, and a short stroll to local pubs and amenities. While some note the lack of toilet facilities and occasional issues with dogs being off-lead, the quiet atmosphere, friendly owners (who are visible and accessible), and scenic surroundings make it a highly recommended gem.

A rip off if you have dogs and limited facilities. No WiFi
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Nice location and good wide pitches.
Village 2 minutes walk and locals really friendly people.
Disliked Very open site which was fine in the hot weather but would be really exposed in the usual Peak District rain and wind.
Our main dislike with this site was the cost for no facilities, it was bad enough to be charged £30 a night for no showers or toilets, no WiFi and little phone reception but to add £5 per dog per night is daylight robbery! We were charged £60 for two elderly dogs to stay in our camper in a field! We don’t pay that in most hotels and the information was not obvious on booking so we didn’t know until after we were automatically charged. When we queried this we found the website had been updated with the information now showing.
As much as we enjoyed our stay here we will not be returning at this cost.

Amazing place
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch

This is a great site and it’s always going to be a good weekend break
Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Been here twice already owners always around if you happen to need them
It’s so quiet the pubs nearby are very convenient
Phone service not that good
Also 2 mile away is an Aldi
Disliked One thing is the dog owners seem to think that everyone should love there dog so they tend to let them run amok and run into other caravans
One dog was coming at me like it was going to have my leg off and the owner must have been lay in the caravan I had to literally shout him to get his feral dog I was sure it was going to bite me
So the farmer/owners really need to make dog owners aware that dogs need to be tethered on the ground stakes
Not everyone loves other people’s dogs that they don’t know
Just because they love them doesn’t mean everyone else does.
Also cheeky people want to use double splitters when there banned everywhere
In order to get as much for their money as possible
