The milk vending machine in the landlords farm supplies excellent milk,, you can also purchase eggs and milkshakes.
The Monsal trail passes the village where you can walk/cycle into Bakewell with ease.
Excellent 5G signal for phone and good TV signal.

Negativ Directions to access the site would have been useful, as I came in through the village and negotiated passing the landlords farm where vehicles park on the road and could become chaos if you meet a tractor and trailer. There is a more suitable approach from the other direction.

Positiv What a great site will definitely be going back. Very quiet and peaceful location and only a few minutes drive from the centre of Bakewell.
There are no facilities but has water and waste connections as well as a 16a power supply but you will need very long water pipes. Very well kept with spacious pitches and absolutely silent abeit the odd car passing on the lane. Phone and TV signal good. The last mile drive through the village is a bit tight and would recommend turning right up the single track lane as you come under the bridge to avoid the village. Just to note a minor thing is the waste water drain is slightly up hill so water wouldn't drain properly from the caravan so take a waste water barrel.

Positiv Beautiful location, peaceful, spacious and very well maintained. Situated in a lovely village with great pubs and food. Perfectly placed for exploring the Peak District National Park.
Nice and close to the wonderful Bakewell town which has all you need for a perfect stay. Its a lovely place to visit.
The surrounding countryside and villages are a dream for those who appreciate beautiful countryside.

Positiv Great pitch in a lovely location delightful village & our plot with water and EHU had great views . No Facilities but Elsan point was new and very clean easy to find .
Local Pubs & walks great

Negativ Nothing really but never saw the owners & no local information a available,some Motorhomes might find this detrimental.

Village 2 minutes walk and locals really friendly people.

Negativ Very open site which was fine in the hot weather but would be really exposed in the usual Peak District rain and wind.
Our main dislike with this site was the cost for no facilities, it was bad enough to be charged £30 a night for no showers or toilets, no WiFi and little phone reception but to add £5 per dog per night is daylight robbery! We were charged £60 for two elderly dogs to stay in our camper in a field! We don’t pay that in most hotels and the information was not obvious on booking so we didn’t know until after we were automatically charged. When we queried this we found the website had been updated with the information now showing.
As much as we enjoyed our stay here we will not be returning at this cost.

Positiv Really quiet site. Excellent place to base yourself. Plenty of walks nearby. The Crispin pub was lovely. All the locals we spoke to were really friendly.

Positiv It was a superb location for us taking on the trek 26 challenge. The site was immaculately clean, quiet and the pitches were large and the views stunning.
