A aimé Small quiet site with plenty to do and see, owners leave you alone whilst keeping the site to a good standard, second stay here won't be the last.

A aimé Very quiet and peaceful site and close to a couple of dog-friendly pubs, and a short drive to Bakewell. The pitches are well maintained with plenty of space between each (there are only 5 pitches). Pitches have electric hook-up and water, but if you’re in a motor home as opposed to a caravan, make sure you have a hose that’s at least 12ft or you’ll struggle to reach the water tap (we had to drive the motor home forward a little to reach it).

N'a pas aimé We booked in advance for the August Bank Holiday weekend and paid extra to use our awning - unfortunately, the weather was so bad that we couldn’t use the awning. Of course, no-one can control the weather and that was just our bad luck, but I’m not sure why there’s an extra charge to use an awning - it wouldn’t matter as far as the pitch itself is concerned as there is plenty of space for both an awning and to park a car.

A aimé Views, the large hardstanding pitches, the fully serviced pitches (although I couldn't get grey water to drain as the drain was higher than the pitch, so resorted to Wastemaster).

N'a pas aimé The route through Great Longstone can be a bit challenging with cars frequently parked both sides of the road, making the tight right turn into Church Lane a very careful manouvre. It felt a bit odd not meeting the owners, but we were fine.

Be aware that the 3 local pubs are only open / serve food on certain days, so you may have to travel further afield for a meal.

A aimé Great site in a fantastic setting. Just out of the way but only 5 minutes from 2 local pubs.

A aimé The pitch was well spaced out and in a quiet location in a lovely village. It’s a small site with electrics and water readily available, but as clearly stated no other facilities which suited us fine.

The walking from here was superb. Chatsworth House and Bakewell so close.

N'a pas aimé A bit pricey for a site that had no washing facilities, but the location and quality of the pitch means we’ll be back.

A aimé Small only 5 pitches well spaced and incredibly clean. Beautiful location and so peaceful will definitely be rebooking now one of our favourite places

A aimé A well presented small 5 pitch location. Great views. Has Grey Waste, Freshwater and electric hook up. ideally situated for the pub as well as the Monsal Trail. Shrubs have been planted so as they mature the site will give some privacy.

N'a pas aimé Grey waste point and freshwater too far from the pitch. Also a gate would have been nice to give a sense of security.
