  • Quiet secluded site close to Bicester
  • The closest site to Bicester Heritage (two miles)
  • Fishing lakes on site
What an excellent Oxfordshire site this is for anglers. And walkers. And quiet English countryside appreciators. For friendly and well-maintained Glebe Leisure Park is in a cracking countryside location on the edges of Buckinghamshire and Northamptonshire as well as Oxfordshire and has two fishing lakes on site as well as lots of trails all around. Dogs – and their owners – like this place too, as there are long walks and gravelled pathways with dog waste bins set at handy locations, and it's mighty like too that cyclists will like the gentle and short pedal along to local town Bicester... Any amenities you might need are sorted here, such as a loo and shower block with info room about the surrounding area, a toilet and shower facilities for disabled guests, a chemical disposal point, drinking water outlets and a car park.

Electric grass pitch

Liked A nice quiet location in the countryside. Large pitches. Clean facilties, and everyone was really respectful and friendly. Any questions were answered. Local pub down the road and fishing lakes on site if this is your thing. Overall, a really pleasant stay.

Disliked The ground was a little hard, we recommend taking some hard ground pegs instead of normal ones.
There was nowhere to pop your clothes or towel when having a shower. A bench or a shelf would have been perfect.
WiFi wasnt free and was an optional extra. Reasonable prices if you did require WiFi whilst you were on holiday.

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch

Liked It was quiet, plenty hot water in the showers, staff friendly & efficient.
Has wi-fi but not used.

Disliked No ability to clean the shower floor after use. Fans either not fitted or not working creating sauna. Nothing major.

Fully-serviced hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Nice site, big pitches and lots of greenery. We only stayed for one night but we liked the site. Would return. Staff were also very helpful and the site was clean in all the areas we saw.

Disliked The showers. They are challenging, small and with nowhere to put your things or get dry.

Fully-serviced hardstanding and grass pitch

Liked Plenty of dog walking areas for a small site. ie. Official walk & around fishing lakes. Peaceful campsite with no frills but clean showers/toilets.

Disliked Ford transit campers. Timer lights going off in shower block. Unable to connect to WiFi ( wanted to pay £5 as well!)- unable to use Amazon stick for TV because of this.

Local attractions

Plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafés are in Glebe Leisure's local town of Bicester within a couple of miles, and designer clothes and accessories in the outlet shopping centre Bicester Village. Glebe is the closest site to Bicester Heritage, the first park in the UK for the tender loving restoration care of classic and vintage cars, motorbikes and planes, all on over 345 acres of an old RAF bomber station. The centre's been described as 'a historic motoring fan's idea of heaven' so do speed along there if old engines make your motor hum. Twelve miles from the site is simply smashing Blenheim Palace, given to the first Duke of Marlborough by Charlie 2 and handed down through the Churchill family to reach one Winston some decades back. You really should have a trip... Also within 12 miles are another few British institutions: the dizzying array of arty treasures at the National Trust's Waddesdon Manor; Broughton Castle at Banbury, and days out spectating fast types at Silverstone Circuit.
