Electric grass pitch
Liked Stunning scenery and impeccably clean toilet, showers and washing up area. A beautiful campsite with a warm welcome and in gorgeous surroundings. Being in the Mach Loop was also great, we were lucky enough to see a couple of double fly-bys on Friday afternoon when we arrived! Highly recommend this gem of a campsite. They were also very responsible in their attitude to fires given recent droughts. Superb. The river running along the bottom was also perfect for a quick feet deep on a hot day!
Disliked Nothing, it was perfect.

Electric optional grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Stunning campsite in a beautiful location with a river (Aaron Seiont I think) running through/around. The Mill Bistro was a gem - superb food and lovely, friendly staff. Was great to be able to speak Welsh all weekend. Particular thanks to the polite young lad who checked us in and showed us to our plot - really helpful and knowledgable about the site.
Amenities were good - enough toilets and we didn’t have to wait for showers even though there were only two. Playground was lovely for the children, campsite was beautiful and really well maintained. Loved hearing owls hooting at night!
Having the cars parked away from the camping area was great and gave everybody more space, as well as feeling safer. Great idea! We didn’t use the seats and communal BBQ but will next time, it looked well set out.
In terms of location it is a short drive to Caernarfon, Llanberis, or Beddgelert. There are great days out for families locally (Greenwood etc.), and Fron Goch Garden Centre is well worth a visit for shopping or great food.
Disliked The only feedback I’d give was to perhaps put signs in the toilet cubicles reminding people that:
a) they can flush toilet paper (I suspect some was put in the bins due to the tissues and smell in some)
b) to sit on the toilet when using it (in some countries they use ‘squat’ toilets and not everybody who visits the UK realises that you can sit on ours!), and
c) to wipe the seats after use.
I should add that the cleaners were in there twice a day and the facilities were really clean, it’s just that not all people are tidy when using them so perhaps signage would help!

Electric grass pitch
Liked The views from the campsite were amazing, showers and toilets were really clean and there was plenty of room to get changed. Sink area also clean. Facilities were great and the owner was really friendly when we chatted one morning. Location is also superb as it was easy to get to anywhere on Anglesey from the campsite, right next to A5 and A55.
Nearby was:
Pili Palas
Plas Newydd (National Trust)
Sŵ Môr Môn (Anglesey Sea Zoo)
Newborough nature reserve & beach
LlanfairPG (massive Co-op here that had everything you might need!)
Short drive to Red Wharf Bay, Point Lynas, Traeth Lligwy and Benllech to the East, or Rhosneigr and Trearddur Bay to the West.
Disliked Only very minor downsides were:
a) the road noise and trains sounding horns in the night - you can easily remedy this with earplugs though. I was used to it by the second night and slept like a log!
b) lots of stones in the ground so it took a lot of effort to put the tent pegs in - you can get around this by using the more robust hardstanding pegs though.
We couldn’t get on the wi-fi but I don’t class that as a negative as I like to unplug when we go camping!

Electric grass pitch
Liked Well maintained site with beautifully clean toilet, kitchen and showers. Thoughtful dry boxes in showers for personal items while you wash, plus a family showering area. Owner was very polite and helpful, enforcing the noise cut-off time. No groups allowed to reduce noise. Location was stunning, right in the top moors by the Clwydian range near Offa’s dyke path. Short drive to Llangollen.
Disliked We were unfortunate (as was the owner!) that a group had managed to get around the rules and book a stay - they were noisy and inconsiderate but the owner dealt with the situation very well. We’re aware that the site owner was hoodwinked by a large group, which was a shame for her as the site is lovely. Only reason this is 4 and not 5 star. We don’t hold this against the site and will absolutely be back!

Electric grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Gorgeous rural location, beautiful views and so peaceful! Toilets, showers and sinks were all clean, as were the grounds, with ample bins. The lovely couple who were running the site were really friendly and welcoming and also very helpful. Metal bin available for bbq ash, bricks for placing bbq on and also the possibility of hiring a wood burner and logs. Loved the 10pm quiet time rule as it ensured no music blaring late into the night! Wonderful campsite. Advert did say no awnings but it’s worth checking with the site as there were lots there when we went - would have taken awning over gazebo for convenience but it didn’t diminish the experience one bit!

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Lovely big pitches, clean and well maintained toilets, shower and kitchen area, great communication and a beautiful location. Lots to do nearby too - Jodrell Bank, lots of National Trust properties, plenty of pubs and restaurants in short driving distances away. Good 4g signal if that’s important to you.

All-weather fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (premium)
Liked Beautiful setting, excellent location, the lovely site hosts were so welcoming and helpful, the milk station was a real plus, showers and toilets were very clean and well maintained and the lovely woodland walk to Llangollen was great.
Disliked The only downside was the road noise, which the campsite has no control over at all of course. Motorbikes and trucks in particular were noisy as the main road is just behind the tree line are the front of the campsite. Otherwise it was such a beautifully peaceful campsite.
