  • Peaceful and green Mid Wales site on the banks of the River Dyfi
  • Dyfi Osprey Project 20 minutes’ drive; Dolgellau 25 minutes
  • Easy access from the A470; pub, shop and café 10 minutes' walk
Countryside views and convenient access all in one location? Parc Bryndyfi makes a fantastic base for a Mid Wales break – this lush green oasis of a site is a proper rural place to stay, surrounded by trees and with the River Dyfi running down one side. The convenient access comes in the form of the A470, one of the main roads running through this part of the world. It’s just outside the site, making your ins and outs nice and simple, and making it easy to get out for day trips to Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park or over to the coast. For even more on the convenience front, the village of Cemmaes is about 10 minutes’ walk away, with a traditional pub (serving food as well as drinks) and an award-winning village shop/café. For more shopping and eating, head to Machynlleth, 15 minutes’ drive away. The setup at this site is fairly simple, but guests have access to smart bathroom facilities and an indoor washing-up/kitchen area. Dogs are welcome, and there’s plenty of space for them and the kids to have a good run about.

Electric grass pitch

Liked Beautiful location situated right on the riverbank. With lots of wildlife to sit and watch including the new born lambs, kingfishers and red kites. The site is small and welcoming, thanks to the very helpful site manager Chris. The showers and toilets were spotless.
The site is also situated on the Mach loop so be prepared for very low flying jets and various RAF aircraft. A site to behold if you love planes.

Disliked Stones throw from the A470 road so a small amount of road noise but doesn’t spoil this little bit of heaven.

Liked Big Shout Out to Chris the site manager! He was always a presence around the site. Super friendly, always chatting with everyone staying! Our hose was not long enough to reach the water tap. No issues, as Chris lent us his super long one. He sent us menus to near by pubs AND locations and parks for walks.
The site itself is simple and quiet. But the best thing about it was the shower/washing facilities. Constantly saw the owners in cleaning them and they were super friendly and approachable too!
Site right on the waters edge. Would have gone for a paddle if the weather was better.
Super dog friendly. Really easy access off the main road, and only really 20 minutes away from anywhere we went for the day.

Disliked Not a con for us at all, but maybe not suitable for younger families with small children, as is a simple site (no playground)
My children are older (10 and 13) so this is not a selling point for us. We like the simplicity and quiet.
No WiFi available to my knowledge. But we have our own portable router, so again not an issue for us. Just thought I'd mention it
Personally, I cannot fault the site and will 100% be back!

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked Site manager is extremely professional and welcoming. He made us feel welcome and notified us when a near neighbour was going to be late arriving …. Turning what could have been an annoyance into something perfectly acceptable (we were forewarned and understood the reasons). Facilities absolutely immaculate. My son said they were the best shower facilities he has ever experienced while camping. Perfectly presented, everything works as it should. Perfectly level pitches. Easy access in and out. Not far from Dyfi Bike Park. We will go back for sure!

Disliked Not a dislike as such as we only stopped for one night, but the campsite was quite utilitarian (boring). Great as a base but seemingly not much to do on site. Might not be best suited for families with young children.

Liked Site manager Chris was very welcoming on our arrival and couldn’t have been more helpful. Facilities were incredible with large private wash areas. Great to have indoor area for washing dishes also. Not far from Dyfi and Antur Stiniog bike parks.

Disliked Nothing. Very impressed.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked very spacious well kept area with great views and a river .On the MAC LOOP so you get to see the low flying jets .
This was our second stay and Chris welcomed us and recognized us and was very helpful. The showers and toilets were kept spotless and they have a disabled shower/toilet .There is a waste disposable and fresh water taps near the hook up.
We will be back soon as we love the area and markets.

Local attractions

You might be familiar with the Dyfi Osprey Project (20 minutes’ drive) from their live streaming platforms or from BBC’s Springwatch, but a visit to its Welsh headquarters makes it possible to admire these fabulous birds of prey in the flesh – either from the observatory tower or the boardwalks crossing the reserve. Corris (20 minutes) is a small village that packs a mighty punch with sights like King Arthur’s Labyrinth, an underground attraction where you come face to face with Welsh history and myths – from dragons and giants, to King Arthur and assorted knights. At Corris Mine Explorers, you go through subterranean tunnels to learn about the local history of slate mining. Head to Dolgellau (25 minutes) to experience splendid Eryri landscapes. Hiking trails include the popular Torrent Walk (Llwybr Clywedog), which snakes among woodland to a fern- and moss-covered ravine inhabited by otters and bats; and Precipice Walk (Llwybr Cynwch), which circles Llyn Cynwch reservoir.
