Electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely site. Good location to explore the local area. Facilities clean and never had any trouble of them being available when needed.
Decent pitch sizes in the tent/camping field, and looked the same in the other areas too. Nice open space for the kids to run around and play, small play area for them too plus little walkways through the woods for them/dog walking which was nice. We’ll definitely be back!
Disliked Some road and airplane noise but wasn’t excessive and didn’t disturb us at all.
Only bins are located by the entrance to the site which is quite far from the grass camping field, but wasn’t really an issue for us as only there for 2 nights so just dropped our rubbish on our way out when leaving.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked It was our second time staying on this site and once again, cannot fault it. We requested two pitches together as we were travelling with family and the site was happy to accommodate. Pitches are a good size with plenty of space for the caravans and room at the side - we had one fully hard standing and one half hard standing and half grass. We do prefer the ones with grass with having a little one but wasn’t an issue. The pitches being fully serviced is also a big bonus for us!
We didn’t use the on site facilities a great deal but they seemed clean.
We did have to leave a night earlier than planned and unfortunately didn’t know this until after reception had shut, but the gentleman we spoke to on the phone was very understanding and we arranged return of the facilities key and our deposit around this with no issues - thank you!
Disliked The on site shop within reception doesn’t sell anything that would help with a stay EG basic food/toiletries etc. isn't really an issue for us as we bring our own and there are plenty of shops within a 10 minute or so drive, but just something to keep in mind!
Wi-Fi didn’t work for us on the touring pitches which again wasn’t a problem for us as we weren’t expecting to use it, but may be an issue for others.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch
Liked We booked 2 pitches as travelling with family. Weren’t initially allocated pitches next to each other but this was corrected on arrival.
Beautiful, quiet site. Pitches fairly private as separated by hedges. Lovely walk along canal right off of the site. Everything you need on site. Good base for exploring the area too. We’ll definitely use again.

Electric grass touring caravan pitch
Liked Good location, close enough to busier spots while still being in a peaceful location. The overall site is nice, was nice to walk around the lakes in the evening. Didn’t use shower and toilet facilities so unable to comment on these but there were multiple blocks around the site which was good
Disliked Felt the grass touring pitches were an afterthought as just a small area at the front of the site, a bit away from everything else and didn’t feel the pitch sizes were overly big in size. Awful smell from toilet waste disposable area as it’s an open drain, so every time we wanted to walk past to come out or to get water (tap right next to disposal area) we had to suffer the smell which is unfortunate. There are hard standing pitches around it which I wouldn’t have wanted to stay on because of this

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch
Liked Large fully serviced pitches, lots of space for children to play and run around, secure site. Good base to get to WSM seafront, Puxton Park and other attractions
Disliked Road noise can be a little annoying at times but cannot be helped and wouldn’t stop us staying again

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked We booked 2 pitches next to each other as travelling with family. Pitches were a great size, site itself is basic but has everything you need and is in a beautiful, peaceful location. Lots of open space for little ones to run around and play.
We didn’t use the showers but a few of us used the toilet facilities and no complaints there. Host friendly and allowed us to leave the caravans on the site for longer on our last day as it was a quiet Sunday, so we didn’t have to rush home which was a bonus. The site is very rural and remote, off of long county roads with nothing really around, but not a massive drive into local villages so easy access for exploring which was just what we were after.
Disliked Not a dislike but a suggestion would be to have a sign on the opening to the field where the pitches are, as the drive continues off to the left and where you’re meant to go isn’t obviously marked so did cause a little confusion! Other than that no complaints and we’ll definitely book again.

Liked Everything! Beautiful site which has had a lot of hard work put into it. Large pitches, friendly and helpful host (with a cute doggy in tow which my daughter was very happy about!) We didn’t use the shower facilities however looked very modern and well maintained. Would recommend for a peaceful break with plenty of room to relax and for little ones to run around, we will definitely be back in the future
Disliked Next to a busy road so road noise could be an issue, however didn’t bother us massively
