What’s not to like? We stayed here for the first time for two nights and loved it. It’s situated beautifully next to the river Glen and is very pretty. The pitches are a good size and level with water taps and electric hook up. David, the owner, is very friendly and has worked very hard to make this site as lovely as it is. The toilets and showers are still a work in progress, although the hand basins and toilet cubicles are now finished and to a high standard. Even without them, we would still stay here again. I notice some remarks from other reviewers about the traffic noise. Well, we barely noticed it! It’s not that bad. There are also some lovely walks leading from the site, and lots of great places to visit within a short drive from here.

Very nice site with very friendly owners. Site is only 5 mins from Bourne which has a pleasant park with free parking next to it.

    Disliked:

Noisy road. Now next to this site is the Macmillan’s Way Walk ( which has nothing to do with the site but worth a mention ) . I tried to walk it but had to turn back as very over grown with 3 ft nettles and grass with only a very narrow place to walk. The walk carries on across the road but this time there is no path to follow across the field.

Excellent site. David, the owner, is very friendly and helpful. It’s a new site and is coming on extremely nicely. The pitches are beautifully proportioned and very clean and well laid out. There have been a number of points raised about the road noise and I would agree that it is a very busy road but you do get used to it and it never bothered us at all. It is what it is and I really don’t believe it is worth complaining about. The site is very close to the Waterside Garden Centre where the restaurant offers great food. Bourne is a lovel little town and worth a visit. The site can only get better.

we were met and greeted at the office. It was nice, pleasant and peaceful apart from the noise from the traffic all night if your not used to hearing traffic continually. Its still under development so there was no hot water in shower block but we didn't let that spoil our stay as we have hot water and shower in our caravan. will differently stay there again wen visiting our friends in nearby Bourn

Local attractions

Visit Burghley House, a 16th-century country house near Stamford, built for Elizabeth I's Lord High Treasurer Lord Burghley. Sights to see include the Great Hall with hammer beam roof; collections of 17th-century Italian paintings in beautiful rooms including the famous Heaven Room painted by Verrio, and the gardens with extensive collections of sculptures, flowers and plants.

At Stamford, visit the All Saints Church and the Stamford Arts Centre, home to art galleries and the tourist information centre. You could also stroll along the Stamford meadows for birdwatching or a picnic on the banks of the Welland.

Another option in town is the All Saints Brewery, recently restored to produce specialised fruit beers from a micro-brewery. You can relax at the coffee bar or arrange a guided tour with some tastings.
