The Laurels: Lakeside pitches

General

  • Well-kept site in scenic countryside near Skegness
  • Peaceful but close to seaside amenities
  • Two fishing lakes, friendly family team and well-kept facilities

Off to Skeggy? Make a champion decision to stay in peaceful rest in the countryside between days at the beach, with a stay at The Laurels at Addlethorpe.

As a chuffed former guest chuffedly pointed out, the park is the best of both worlds, close enough to Skegness (three miles) to get there without any faff, but far away enough to be away from maddening crowds and any accompanying din.

Settle down here to use the site as a base for Skegness, Ingoldmells and the Lincolnshire coast, or just to chill out in peace in the scenic countryside: if you're up for a bit of the latter, you'll probably also like the park's two fully-stocked fishing lakes at which to get contemplative…

The park covers 18 acres so there's heaps of space for all, and everything is kept an eye on by the friendly family team which goes out of its way to make sure everyone has a champion stay. Amenities are immaculately kept and include a toilet block with hot showers, a launderette and a drying room.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

A charge of £0.50 applies for the use of the shower.

The owner was friendly and the location of the site is good as not far off half way between skegness and ingoldmells but in a lovely quiet location. The site is well maintained.

    Disliked:

We booked and paid for a lake view pitch which looks lovely on the pitches as shows directly next to the lake. Our pitch did have a lake view but only just as there was two cabins between us and the lake. All the pitches directly next to the lake were taken by seasonal pitches with empty caravans that weren't even being used while we were there.
We also requested to be close to the toilets/showers which we were but it was the block that was closed that we were close to, not the open block!!
Also says it has free WiFi but we was told on arrival we wouldn't get WiFi, he knew where he had pitched us. Even though though the site was nearly empty.

This caravan park is superb. The whole site is extremely clean and tidy and not overcrowded. Even though there was some improvement work taking place, there was no excessive noise or inconvenience. The site also welcomed dogs and had a lovely path around the ponds (dogs on the lead) with a very good extended dog walking area.

Would definitely recommend the park to others, particularly pet owners.
