Liked Overall, everything was fine and the campsite itself was okay.

Disliked I was uncomfortable with two CCTV cameras appearing to point directly towards my pitch.

I understand that CCTV may be necessary for security, but guests should also be able to expect reasonable privacy while staying on their pitch. The positioning of these cameras made me feel that my pitch was being monitored.

I would recommend that the site management review the camera angles and ensure they comply with UK data protection and privacy requirements. Apart from this issue, my stay was fine.

Liked Owner very nice. Site very clean and tidy. We had hard standing grass pitch lots of space. Private with hedges inbetween. Showers 50p but wasn’t an issue.
People of site all very friendly. Would highly recommend and will definitely stay again

Liked A lovely clean, quiet site but so close to all the amenities. We were able to be at various beaches within 10 minutes with no traffic to contend with.

That the toilet block was spotlessly clean
That the whole site was very well looked after, very tidy.
That although there are a lot of holiday chalets around the lake on the site, the touring part of the site was completely separate. In fact I would recommend to book a grass pitch as the field is very private from the rest of the site and is very level, and didn’t need to use ramps.
That there was a struck on site to order your breakfast from if you wanted to.
That the 2 men we met and showed us our pitch and seemed to be around a lot were very helpful and friendly.
I liked coming back to the peace of this site after the hustle and bustle of Skegness, although we didn’t even come out of our campervan in the town.

Disliked Nothing to dislike at all, but just to be aware that there’s a small chicken run up in the field we were in, and one of them loved to escape. They didn’t bother us at all, but know some have allergies to hens.

Liked Good sized pitch. Quiet and very clean. Pretty close to Skegness. Reception staff were friendly.

Disliked Bit unusual that you have to pay 50p to use the showers?? In all the sites I've stayed on, its usual that the day rate you pay, generally includes such things, like water!

I can only assume the Management at the Laurels created their business model, after watching Mr Fiddler, from Carry on Camping! Now thats a pound!!

Disliked Full of seasonal pitches felt like we was on a housing estate, could not but awning up as was not room to but the truck as the caravan in front blocked part of the drive with there 2cars , was not told that they was having a 40&50 night the lorry trailer that had the singer’s on was next to our pitch so was very loud music playing till late, a email would of been nice to say what was going on that weekend and given a option to change dates or move to another pitch away from it.

From the manager: Well I find this review amazing !
Every arrival was informed of the event with a flyer and posters around all public areas , you arrived over two days prior and at no point did you approach our very friendly staff to communicate your concerns or awning troubles ! Or car parking issues (1 car per pitch )
Cleanliness & Customer service is something that we excel in with all reviews so maybe you have pressed the wrong button !.

It was not a housing estate ! very derogatory ! but a street party with a vintage theme with a donation to the local British Legion .

Staff are around 24/7 at The Laurels & are always approachable .

I think maybe you chose the wrong location as Skegness on a Bank Holiday is always busy

Liked Very clean and well looked after site. Pitches are large and well serviced. We stayed in a pitch by the lake; it was quiet, lovely outlook with wildlife all around. Facilities were very modern with hot showers and toilet blocks in many places. Breakfast was available from the little shack open in the mornings with a wide choice available.
