  • Well-kept site in scenic countryside near Skegness
  • Peaceful but close to seaside amenities
  • Two fishing lakes, friendly family team and well-kept facilities
Off to Skeggy? Make a champion decision to stay in peaceful rest in the countryside between days at the beach, with a stay at The Laurels at Addlethorpe. As a chuffed former guest chuffedly pointed out, the park is the best of both worlds, close enough to Skegness (three miles) to get there without any faff, but far away enough to be away from maddening crowds and any accompanying din. Settle down here to use the site as a base for Skegness, Ingoldmells and the Lincolnshire coast, or just to chill out in peace in the scenic countryside: if you're up for a bit of the latter, you'll probably also like the park's two fully-stocked fishing lakes at which to get contemplative… The park covers 18 acres so there's heaps of space for all, and everything is kept an eye on by the friendly family team which goes out of its way to make sure everyone has a champion stay. Amenities are immaculately kept and include a toilet block with hot showers, a launderette and a drying room.

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Good sized pitch. Quiet and very clean. Pretty close to Skegness. Reception staff were friendly.

Disliked Bit unusual that you have to pay 50p to use the showers?? In all the sites I've stayed on, its usual that the day rate you pay, generally includes such things, like water!

I can only assume the Management at the Laurels created their business model, after watching Mr Fiddler, from Carry on Camping! Now thats a pound!!

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Lovely welcome at reception. Great size, level pitch. Clean toilet/shower room.

Disliked Sadly, campers opposite spoiled our stay. Very loud, bad singing & lots of swearing ! I'm no saint & can swear like a trouper but would never act this way when there are other people in close proximity ! Thankfully by 19.30 the alcohol had taken effect & they passed out !

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch

Liked Lovely friendly site. Pitches excellent and flat. We had hardstanding with EHU.
Fresh eggs from their chickens. Lovely lakes and easy reach of SkegVegas

Disliked Showers are 50p a time... Push button and were not very warm
Only one washing up sink. But as the site is predominently statics, nit really an issue.
No bar, but we knew before booking. Not really a negative, just something to be aware of.

The site's local village of Addlethorpe has a café, restaurant, golf course and pub; Ingoldmells has heaps of options at its Fantasy Island theme park, and other seaside towns like Mablethorpe and Sutton on Sea are easily reached along the coast. Skegness is the most visited seaside town on the Lincolnshire coast and has a good bit more than its beaches and pier, like its aquarium and Natureland Seal Sanctuary, cinema, theatre and golf courses.
