  • Quiet and friendly family-run site easily accessible from the M5
  • A 10-minute drive from Weston-super-Mare seafront and the Mendip Hills
  • Right next to Puxton's adventure park, a farm shop and bus stop
In Somerset and seeking a simple but smashing site? Settle in at Stable View Caravan and Camping, whether for an overnight stopover or a longer break. Access to this park from Junction 21 of the M5 is pretty swift and it’s also conveniently close to some of the county’s top attractions if you’re after a base for explores. Puxton’s kids’ adventure park is less than a five-minute walk away, and the village also has a farm shop and butchers for stocking up on your staples. Meanwhile, both Weston-super-Mare’s seafront and the trails of the Mendip Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty are a 10-minute drive away. Speaking of walks in the countryside, plenty more options are close by for stretching the legs, including the Strawberry Line strolling and cycling path under three miles away. And if the aforementioned farm shop and butchers don’t have the groceries you’re after? A couple of large supermarkets are within two miles. When you want to leave your vehicle on site and head off on some sightseeing, buses stop right outside the park (a few minutes’ walk) and go directly to Weston-super-Mare and Bristol city centre. Stable View has spacious, fully serviced pitches with electricity, water and grey waste, but please note that there is no toilet and shower block.

What customers say

This is a clean, well-maintained, and secure site ideal for stopovers, praised for its large, fully serviced pitches and convenient location close to the M5. Guests appreciate the easy access, electronic gates for security, and proximity to Weston-super-Mare and other attractions. While the lack of toilet and shower facilities is noted, most guests found it manageable, with many expressing a strong desire to return. Some minor traffic and plane noise were occasionally mentioned.

Fully-serviced grass touring pitch

Liked Size of pitch, clean and tidy. Easy access, felt very safe and secure. Bus stop a very short walk away and regular buses into Weston.
We also walked to puxton park from the campsite.
Planes are going over very regularly and some people might find the noise annoying I quite liked it.

Disliked People arriving very late and very early, banging and slamming doors. Not very nice being kept awake by this until half 11 with them setting up and woken up at half 7 by early arrival, both right next to us.

The road outside is very busy and pretty scary to cross for the bus into Weston, especially with a buggy but we managed it.

Liked Quite, safe, clean, price.

Our kids played with others and had fun while me and my wife enjoyed our caravan.

We will definitely be back soon. 😊

Disliked We did have a rude person in a campervan demand we move as we were to close even tho we were just trying to line our caravan up. We didn't let that spoil our stay and no fault to the campsite/owners.

Liked Enjoyed our short stay.
A lovely site.. 👍 🚐 perfect for our needs, highly recommend this little gem of a site.
Bus stop right outside which is fab.
Site also had great controlled security gate system 🚨

Disliked Nothing, site as described
No Loos showers or washing up facilities on site but I should say that is very clearly stated on pitched up site page
so you just use your own Van facilities on this little gem of a site..

Liked Quite little site sizable pitches

Disliked Seems to have gone downhill since my last visit. 10 of the 15 pitches are now seasonal. The 5 touring are in the centre of the site which are devoid of any shade. Was on site for 7 nights with absolutely no contact from owner despite him living on site. Grass could do with mowing as it is full of dandelions and quite long

Local attractions

If the kids are clamouring for a trip to Puxton Park, you’ve got no excuse not to give in: this 40-acre spot with entertainment for all weathers, including an outdoor aerial climbing course and an indoor soft play area, is only a couple of minutes’ walk away. Nippers also tend to be impressed by Weston-super-Mare’s amusement-lined Grand Pier, toy shops and ice-cream parlours. Grab your gelato of choice and wander on the sand while admiring the Victorian architecture along the seafront. Other urban spots to trot around include Bristol (half an hour's drive) with its colourful murals, independent shops and famed suspension bridge; it also has a renovated harbour that’s worth a look, and an excellent foodie scene. Keen to check out the local countryside as well? Get to Cheddar Gorge (25 minutes) in the Mendip Hills for walks up high with fab views over the area or to poke around the caves of Wookey Hole (35 minutes). This is also the spot for seeking out some Somerset-made dairy products, especially the eponymous cheese from the shops in the village of Cheddar.
