Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Louise and Steve are great hosts and genuinely can't do enough to make sure your stay is managed well.
The electric pitches to the front of the site are of a decent size and electric is payable as cash or as the total amount at the end.
We paid in £10.00 increments and any credit is returned to you, there are meters by the pitch showing your credit.
Phone signal is intermittent on O2.
Disliked NOTHING TO DO WITH THE SITE - The pub down the road keeps very random hours and was not open on a Thursday evening and Landlady closed the pub around 21.30 on the Friday.
My wife who is easy going thought a shelf in the ladies toilet would have been helpful.

Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Started off ok when the site was quiet, but it soon filled up and this changed the overall feel for the place.
Location is ok, but stay clear of the road side of the camp site.
Good pub up the road and short taxi ride into Leek.
Disliked Cars driving too fast through the site.
Poor signage to the toilets and showers. People queuing for toilets/showers and washing up in the morning.
Footballs and Frisbees bouncing off of cars!
Waking up to find someone has camped 3 metres from your pillow!
It seems that anyone can just turn up and camp and then pay the following evening!
No checking in process, so a lack of management on the site overall.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked We stayed at this campsite recently and thoroughly enjoyed the experience!
The hosts Amy and Graham are wonderful and made sure everything was as it should be. They were very accommodating to all the guests and assisted some campers with local wedding destinations.
Site is flat with no designated pitches and has very new and modern washing up and toilet/shower facilities.
There is a great pub just down the road, which serves food.
When coming into the village with the School on your left, look for the sign soon after that.
Our Sat Nav did not take us to the site, so may be beneficial to use Waze!
Disliked Nothing at all !!

Liked Relaxed atmosphere. Portaloo's very useful. Local pub 5 minutes walk. Bald Kitchen next door.
Disliked DO NOT under estimate the noise from the road, if you have come for peace and quiet, think again.
The facilities are not dirty but they need a deep clean in general.
There is a building site next door, which I would suggest will be relevant through out the rest of 2022.
The pub up the road has been forced to shut at 22.00 by the brewery.
There appears to be Wi Fi but could not log onto it, 4G coverage is ok though.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked This site is a great find and made all the better by the owner Jim! Facilities are well maintained and will be open again in August this year.
It's very relaxed and you can arrive and leave at anytime during the day you have booked, really helpful when its pouring down!
Good 4G reception in all areas. Pub and well stocked Spar is a 15 minute walk down the road.
Jim really cares about everyone staying on his site and checks every morning to make sure everything is ok.
Disliked Nothing!!

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Location of site. On site catering ( not cheap though). Good Wifi. Great beach a short walk away.
Disliked Slopping pitches. No Music Policy. Site locked at 21.00 for vehicle access. No visitors allowed on site.
Not a site issue - Local pubs and restaurants closing their doors at 21.00!!!
Terrible traffic getting in and out of Croyde!

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Location and quiet and peaceful site, apart from the occasional train which strangely you seem to ignore after a while. Staff on hand where required. Laid back approach to selecting your pitch. Pub 10 minutes walk away. No WIFI but there is 4G reception.
Disliked Lack of male toilets, two stalls for 100+ men camping just isn't enough. Lack of showers. Hopefully both these items are temporary and can be fixed.

From the manager: 2 cubicles and 3 urinals in top toilet block, plus a further 6 uni sex toilets mid way down the field (plus 6 urinals to be added this week to this block). Our toilet facilities are more sufficient, as we have a large festival where we cater for way more than the pitches we sell as standard camping. Sorry you didn't find the other toilet block. Showers are shut due to them being high risk and currently not Covid friendly - we are trying to resolve these issues so we can open them soon. Wifi coming soon. We're new and constantly improving - watch this space!.
