Liked Beautiful setting. Nice clean facilities . Lovely walks around the lake and local area. Very tempted to swim in the lake, but weather was a bit too chilly. Very dark at night so the stars were clearly visible. Cafe was only open on our last morning, nice coffee and cake before we set off. Pub only 5 mins walk, great food

Disliked There was quite a lot of rubbish where we pitched both on the grass and in the hedgerows. Made it seem a bit run down. There was also a surprising amount of traffic noise from the road by the site.

Liked Beautiful views, remote location. Only people there on a chilly night in early May. Lovely wild camping feel with benefits of toilets and running water

Liked Spacious pitches, clean facilities. Electric hook up was a long reach, but they had extension leads at no cost. Reception friendly, + shop selling few essentials. Lovely location and views.

Disliked Toilet door left open, and hand dryer seemed noisy at night, but wasn't going all night.

Liked Beautiful location, lovely views. Only one night stay as a stop-over, and were the only people there. Facilities were lovely and clean. Owner came around to say hello.

Disliked We were warned that the quietest part of the field was the bottom away from the farm buildings so it was our own fault for staying at the top next to the cow shed! Despite that, we managed to sleep.

Liked Beautiful scenery, lots of local walks. Only 3 other pitches in use on a Sunday evening so very quiet. Read all the info about the site before going, so knew it was 'wild camping' with the bonus of clean toilets and running water. Very dark at night, which would have been lovely if it hadn't been cloudy.

Liked On arrival we were welcomed by one of the wardens who showed us to our pitch, explained where everything was and gave us a map of site. Said if we needed anything to ring him. The site was extremely clean and well kept, our pitch was nice and level. The shower/toilet block was cleaned regularly throughout the day as were the washing up points. Nice picturesque and quite site with a robin who visited us every breakfast time. Location made it easy to visit other parts of Cornwall without too long a drive. A wonderful much needed relaxing break was enjoyed.

Disliked Only downside was the shop was shut due to time of year and Covid but wasn't really an issue as Supermarkets were not very far away.
