General

  • Peaceful family-friendly site on a working farm
  • Two miles from the Eden Project: arrange personal guided tours on site
  • Carefully landscaped wildlife haven

East Crinnis Camping and Caravan Park is a peaceful, family-friendly site, in a secluded rural setting on a working farm. It's well placed for getting to all of Cornwall, with Charlestown, Mevagissey and Fowey all within easy reach and the Eden Project two miles away.

The farm is in a wildlife haven, with plenty to spot on site and around the peaceful lake added as part of the East Crinnis farmland conservation project. The accommodation part is carefully landscaped and has plenty of shelter and colour among its many shrubs and flowers near a backdrop of tall pine and fir trees.

During the Whitsun and summer school holidays, the owners run a free storytelling and pasty evening once a week.

Please note

Single-sex bookings of 4 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

The privacy hedges between pitches were well thought out and in spite of site being on a gradual slope, pitches were quite level. Liked the overall ambience of the site with trees everywhere in and around the grounds. Plenty of space to walk the dog with an attractive pond en route. Facilities were adequate and clean for our visit in Sept. but I imagine could be busy in high season. One of the better sites we have visited.

    Disliked:

Occasional traffic noise from nearby main road.

  • Liked:

We really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the site and our children slept well throughout our stay. The toilet block was only a short distance away despite us being located at the edge of the site. This was always kept very clean and although a small number of showers in this block (another on main site) we never had to wait to get one. The storytelling and live music evenings were nice touches and the owners were genuinely charming. We would recommend and would visit again.

    Disliked:

The site is just off a fairly busy road and so there is some traffic noise but not enough to stop our three young children from sleeping.

East Crinnis Camping is situated in a very beautiful location, with very nice and helpful staff. It is an ideal base to explore other areas of Cornwall, going for long or short walks or just staying there relaxing.
All the facilities are always very clean, they are spacious and have hot water, including showers, bathrooms and washing up sinks. They also have washing machines which did not use.
