General

  • Peaceful family-friendly site on a working farm
  • Two miles from the Eden Project: arrange personal guided tours on site
  • Carefully landscaped wildlife haven

East Crinnis Camping and Caravan Park is a peaceful, family-friendly site, in a secluded rural setting on a working farm. It's well placed for getting to all of Cornwall, with Charlestown, Mevagissey and Fowey all within easy reach and the Eden Project two miles away.

The farm is in a wildlife haven, with plenty to spot on site and around the peaceful lake added as part of the East Crinnis farmland conservation project. The accommodation part is carefully landscaped and has plenty of shelter and colour among its many shrubs and flowers near a backdrop of tall pine and fir trees.

During the Whitsun and summer school holidays, the owners run a free storytelling and pasty evening once a week.

Really good site, with clean facilities and good size pitches. 18/08/2018

Good size pitches with shrubs to give you some privacy. Shower block kept very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would certainly go back and it was only a short journey to Heligan Gardens and Eden Project. Mevigessey also not far away and well worth visiting for good good food, cheap boat trip along the coast or just watching the world go by. Wifi could be picked just outside the shop.

    Disliked:

Felt the freezer in the kitchen was too small and often no room to freeze our ice blocks, on one occasion someone had taken them out and left them on the work top, no doubt another camper. Also needs to be defrosted on a regular basis as it was very thick with ice around elements.

We have just returned from a fantastic 10 day break at East Crinnis Camping Park. It is a small, family run site with spacious pitches that are divided off by planting of bushes. The toilet/shower facilities are modern and kept very clean during the day. There is a small campsite shop which provides the essentials (wonderful local farm bacon!) and also serves hot food/ drinks.
A guided walk to Charlestown, with one of the wardens was really informative and takes in spectacular views along the coastal path. An hour long walk at a leisurely pace, so ideal for families with young children. The storytellers around the campfire were excellent entertainment one evening, as was a local singer/ guitarist.
A dog-friendly site, with a large area for walks, as well as a good field for the children to play.
The site is perfectly located to visit many local areas and the staff are only too willing to make suggestions as to the best places to visit.
Carlyon beach is a good walk away, but also an easy drive and only £2 per day parking. Some steep steps down from the car park for buggies/ wheelchairs.
Beach shop and bar were great!

Lovely relaxed site. Only strict about noise after 11pm. Suits me I want to sleep then. Activities on offer - guided walk and story telling but unfortunately we were elsewhere when these were on. All staff on site were very friendly and went out of their way to be helpful ( we needed jump leads and staff rushed off to get them and help to start our car). Bathrooms were always clean and enough available. Location was central for places we wanted to see and good places to eat out nearby. All in all - a great site.

    Disliked:

Freezer in kitchen wasn't the best but I think it wasn't always closed by users so our ice blocks weren't very frozen but this is a small gripe!

The separate, hedged-off pitches were very private.
The showers and toilets were very clean and there were plenty given the relatively small number of pitches.
Great location for loads of lovely beaches and towns.
