General

  • Peaceful family-friendly site on a working farm
  • Two miles from the Eden Project: arrange personal guided tours on site
  • Carefully landscaped wildlife haven

East Crinnis Camping and Caravan Park is a peaceful, family-friendly site, in a secluded rural setting on a working farm. It's well placed for getting to all of Cornwall, with Charlestown, Mevagissey and Fowey all within easy reach and the Eden Project two miles away.

The farm is in a wildlife haven, with plenty to spot on site and around the peaceful lake added as part of the East Crinnis farmland conservation project. The accommodation part is carefully landscaped and has plenty of shelter and colour among its many shrubs and flowers near a backdrop of tall pine and fir trees.

During the Whitsun and summer school holidays, the owners run a free storytelling and pasty evening once a week.

lovely large pitch with little hedges between for privacy, also lots of trees to look out on. we were watching the squirrels, and listening to owls at night! didn't get much time to explore, but will go again to get to do that

    Disliked:

the only thing I don't really like, (and lots of campsites have this) is the light sensors in the shower block, as if you dont keep moving the lights go off while you are in the shower!

The facilities, excellent showering and washing. Use of a washing machine and tumble drier. Local information for things to do and see. Spotlessly clean in the shower block, always had toilet roll and hand wash, and the showers were always hot.

    Disliked:

A very minor point, noise from the main road outside the camp, once in bed you could really hear the traffic.

    Disliked:

Cold shower room. Family room rusty radiator, not even plumbed in. Broken fences. A real tired site which doesn’t seem to have been maintained for a long time. Really disappointed and a waste of my money, .never again . Nothing like their web page. Never in a million years 4 stars

From the manager...

We are very sorry to read your comments on a stay with us. We very rarely get snow in Cornwall and as a consequence the shower block has been very cold even with the heating system we have in place. We are sorry it therefore snowed during your stay with us and made the trip an un-enjoyable cold wintery experience.
Our shower blocks are always kept clean and tidy to four star standards.
We are still in deep winter in the south west so the site does not look it's best until Spring arrives and the grass grows again and the shrubs and trees begin to flourish. We welcome you back in the future to show you how great this little site is. Hopefully soon the better weather will arrive and winter will be gone!!
