Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Adults only site. Quiet area with easy access to nearby town for groceries and a local shop within walking distance. Some shade from very mature trees around the edge of the field. Decent facilities with toilet paper and hand soap/sanitiser provided. Clean showers and well tended pitches.
No laid out pitches for non hook up so free to set up wherever you fancy. Nice to spread out a bit. Couple of picnic benches. A few more would be a great addition for those travelling light.
Locked gate at the entry to the site, code was provided on arrival. Really liked that.
Disliked The noise from the nearby airport late at night and early in the day. It wouldn't stop me visiting again though, I'd just take ear plugs for sleeping hours.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Big pitches on level well drained land. Fantastic facilities and the owners/managers are absolutely lovely. Mostly motorhomes/caravans/campervans but tents allowed too. Grass is short and easy to pitch on. Lots of water points dotted about the perimeter. There’s even a freely accessible freezer for cold packs. Showers and toilets are big, modern, private and immaculately clean.
Nice quiet site surrounded by woodland and nature. We’ll definitely be back.
Disliked Nothing at all.

From the manager: Hi Sarah Thank you very much for your amazing review. It was lovely meeting you both. We hope you manage to find a tent that works for you before you head off on your adventures. Thank you also for adding a photo to show we are motorbike friendly :-) Tracey & Lee-Roy

Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Small and beautifully quiet site, with great views across the neighbouring valley and hills beyond. This lovely little site is open and immaculately kept, with massive, clearly marked pitches. We were on pitches 12 and 13 which were on an ever so slight slope, so decent drainage away from the tents.
The site has all the facilities you need for a camping break, including very clean and well maintained bathrooms (, toilet and basin in one room),covered washing up area, chemical disposal area, 2 water points and Waste bins.
Owners, Bev and Martin are friendly and super helpful, without being over bearing. In all the ideal hosts. They even offered the use of an extension for the electric hook up point, as our lead wasn’t quite long enough. Other sites would have charged a hire fee.
We took 2 dogs and Martin was happy to point out their second area of land for the dogs to stretch their legs in.
The site has a lovely bar/kitchen which is open Thursday - Sunday and we had a fabulous home cooked, 3 course meal for 4 adults, including drinks for less than £85. Absolute bargain for the quality of the food.
Within 20 minutes of the coast and only a little further to Elan Valley, Hafod Estate and Aberystwyth, this is a gem of a find.
If what you’re after is a peaceful break on the side of a Welsh hill, this is a gem of a find.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Loved the Proximity to local services. This does mean you’re in town and road noise. Great base for the Normandy coast.
Well laid out shower block, washing up and laundry area.
Friendly and welcoming staff.
Access to Pool next door.
Addition of on site food in the evenings is brilliant.
Numbered pitches and hard standing parking at our particular pitch.
Disliked Showers are of the “push button” variety. I understand the need for it, it just could do with a slightly longer interval between pushes.
