What customers say
This campsite is praised for its friendly staff, delicious pub food, and convenient location, particularly for Alton Towers visits. Facilities include clean toilets and showers, and a play area for children. Some guests note road noise and basic shower/toilet facilities that could benefit from updating. Pitch sizes can be compact, and some guests have reported issues with muddy pitches after rain. The pub's excellent food and welcoming atmosphere are consistent highlights.

Good site
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Checked in at the pub by John who was very nice, chose any pitch we wanted which is a bonus. The pub is on site, serves decent food & has a big garden with plenty of seats, bar staff was friendly, John serves there as well 😁
Porta cabins for 2 ladies toilets & 1 shower! I did see a queue a couple of times because there is also a camping area as well as a touring site, fantastic dog walking area just up the road behind the self serve milk & coffee kiosk, would recommend this site
Disliked It’s not a dislike as such, the site was busy because of its popularity I suppose, so more toilets & showers would be good

Disliked Shower I used kept flipping from scalding hot to ice cold ever 20 seconds it never stayed on either or at a usable temperature.

Non-electric grass campervan or tent pitch
Liked The food was delicious. Pizza, curry and homemade pie. The price is very affordable and earplugs were given due to noise from the road. The man who greeted us and helped us was lovely. Even asking if we were okay whilst we passed him eating his tea during a break.
Disliked Road noise but earplugs given. Maybe a second toilet block would be useful as it was busy.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Lovely pub on site and a fresh milkshake vending machine next door was brilliant. Pub supplied ear plugs free of charge as the road can be noisy which was a lovely touch.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Nice little site with reasonable facilities attached to the pub with excellent menu and range of drinks.Site was a bit crowded on arrival making pitching up a bit awkward but soon emptied out after the weekend.
Disliked Horrendous road noise 24/7 didn't affect me personally but other members of our group suffered with the overnight traffic
