Liked Pros: Easy Access & Peaceful Nights: Very easy to find as it’s just off the main road. While it gets a bit busy during the day, it was wonderfully quiet and peaceful at night - defo need a torch! Huge Pitches & Great Choice: The pitches are massive, and we loved the "choose your own pitch" system. Stunning Views: The scenery is next level! (Tip: If the bushes were trimmed back a bit more, the sea views would be incredible, though we totally understand why they are left as they are). Handy Facilities: Water points are conveniently scattered throughout the field. Fantastic Management: A huge shoutout to Mary—she is definitely on the ball! When there was a plumbing issue with the toilet and shower block, she had it sorted by a plumber the very next day. Thank you again, Mary!

Disliked Not really a Dislike more of a Room for Improvement / Tips for Future Guests: Non-EHU Option: We don't normally use Electric Hook-Up (EHU), so it would be brilliant if they offered a non-EHU caravan option in the future via pitch up, that would certainly bring us back even sooner. Website Clarity: Just a heads-up for future guests or the site owner Mary: please update the website to clarify that the site counts a sun canopy as an awning. It’s the first time we’ve come across that policy, but we got it sorted out (thank you again) Also it states on the pitch up site no Firepits are allowed but we were there for 2 weeks and can certainly say people had them even when we got the “ alert message from the gov” stating no fires were allowed.

Liked We recently stayed over the Easter weekend and had a bit of a rollercoaster experience. Here is the breakdown of the highs and lows of our visit: The Good Stuff • The Pitch & People: The pitch itself was great—well-maintained and a nice spot to set up. The owners are lovely people, very welcoming and friendly. • Entertainment: They had a lot going on over the Easter break! While we couldn’t actually get into the event because the pub was packed to the rafters, it was nice to see a lively atmosphere. • Late Night Snacks: One evening, they offered pies and sausage rolls from a heated display. We tried both and they were delicious. The sausage rolls were a little on the pricey side, but the quality was definitely there.

Disliked The Not-So-Good Stuff • Facilities Issues: This was the biggest letdown. The women’s showers were inconsistent—swinging between freezing cold and scalding hot. To make matters worse, the bathrooms aren't heated, which made for a very chilly experience. • Toilet Paper Shortage: The toilets ran out of paper entirely. Even after we informed the pub staff, it took a couple of hours to be refilled. We eventually gave up and went out to buy our own. • Food Availability: We messaged beforehand and told that due to the high volume of campers, the kitchen would only be serving "light bites" and fish and chips on Friday. However, once we were there, it didn't seem that busy with campers (the pub was mostly locals). We later saw a post that they were actually looking for a chef, which likely explained the limited menu.

Liked Everything, one of the best sites we have been too, would certainly return again in the future! The toilets and showers were clean, it was a secure site, lovely pub, nice pitches, beautiful surroundings, dog friendly, fire pits allowed and also great for how close it is to Alton towers 🎢

Disliked Kids kicking leather footballs and hitting caravan hit our caravan twice and had to go out and have words the ball hit our neighbours Caravan endless time, they was even a fully blown argument kick off between a child’s mother and the owns of the caravan the ball hit, people inc adults just walk all over your pitch ( we had many people walk though our sun canopy even though we told them not to over and over again) the site rules are certainly not adhered to by either site owners or campers for instance, campers a few pitches down was partying most of our first night, our next door neighbour went to complain the next morning but was unable to find the owner went back 10 minutes later and was told to return in the next 10min minutes which she did by this time no owner showed up at all, kids and sometime the adults were on petrol mini motorbikes, load of electric scooters being used and nearly hitting people plus the parked cars, car driving from the bottom of field A to the toilet area though it was a race track. overall certainly not worth the money we paid, if we could of left we would of but unfortunately they make you pay the remaining balance before your allowed though onto the pitch’s otherwise we would of not even pitched we would of just left, I do have videos but it won’t allow me to upload them.

Disliked On site pub a tag expensive, I understand it’s a dog friendly site but when we was tgere on Saturday there was a crowd of dog 6 or 7 dogs all in the little space you have it very overwhelming, dread to think how you would get out if there was an emergency with all the leads everywhere. Would it affect our stay, no we just wouldn’t use it now unfortunately

Liked The staff, well the one staff member what we me on Friday was outstanding, cleanish toilets and shower blocks but could do with a the de-cobweb

Disliked Pods 2 sleep 4 people, very very basic a kettle provided but yet no cups are also no water points what state it can be used apart from the bathroom sink, in the photos the pods look huge but realistically they are very very small, the fridge is placed on the bottom bunk, pods get very stuffy at night time, they do have a port hole window but if that person on the top bunk open the window it leaves very little room to sleep in the bed. tested our heater our in the early evening as it wasa bit cooler to find the stands are broken If you don’t like spiders then certainly don’t go, we had many in our pod but as of or the bathroom well just close your eyes and hope for the best

Liked Such a great site with great shower and toilet block, we stayed in the first field down the bottom where the non ehu caravan go, such a great spot tucked away out of site out of mind. Defo would return
