Liked A lovely peaceful site, right on the river. We enjoyed 10 nights here and even though it rained pretty much every single day, we still had a great time. In between rain showers we enjoyed playing on the football pitch, playing giant Connect 4 and a quick game of rugby, all of which are free to use and provided by the owners. The family that run the site are very helpful and friendly and make you feel very welcome.

Liked We loved the location. It was ideal for exploring everything we wanted to see in North Wales. The on site shop was handy for snacks and some nice treats. The highlight was the free roaming goats! My daughter absolutely loved spending time with them and we'd like travel back to the site just for the goats, haha. We had pigeons pooping on our caravan from an overhanging tree branch, once I'd spoken to the owner of the site he immediately came and cut the branch down for us. The toilet facilities are very modern. The warden does what he can to keep them clean, unfortunately in this day and age theirs always one that spoils it for everyone and everyday the shower, toilet, sink and washing up area was left in a mess (we stayed for 10nights) The park was extremely quiet as the kids are back at school, so unfortunately I think the culprit is a seasonal guest. This isn't a negative against the site, this is a lazy, entitled guest that is at fault.

Disliked We didn't like the amount of scooters and toys left out near the park. We were unsure if they were just dumped as they never seemed to move or to be played with. There's a lot of seasonal touring caravans on site and we personally feel that they should keep their areas much tidier and have less "stuff" just laying around their pitches. Some of them were very untidy (some of them were also very lovely) This isn't a dislike, just a heads up....... Make sure you follow the parks instructions on the route to take, and be prepared for an immediate very steep climb up to the campsite as soon as you turn off the main road. It may not be an issue for lighter units, but our caravan fully loaded weighs in at 1800kg.

Liked A perfect little family run site in a great location. The site is close enough to everything you'd ever want to do in the Lake District. The toilet/shower facilities are regularly cleaned to a very high standard. The showers are some of the best we've experienced on our travels.

Liked We loved the Kinross area and we had enough space on our pitch for our tourer and awning. The picnic benches scattered around the site were very handy. My daughter enjoyed using the park and we had plenty of space to play games.

Disliked As many people have mentioned, the showers in the female shower block do not last long enough. Both showers switch off just past 4 minutes. We mentioned it to the site owner numerous times. It wouldn't normally be particularly annoying, but when you have to pay extra for something that should be included, you expect them to function correctly! The washing machine is pay per use (total expected) but unfortunately the washing machine constantly goes past the time given. So in turn, you have to go back and put even more money in the machine or the cycle will not finish. These 2 extras of having to put more cash in machines soon adds up, and no doubt works out to be lovely little earner for the owner. The site owner came round and spoke to my wife after we'd been on site for well over a week. He told her that she needs to pull the groundsheet in our awning up every couple of days. We were due to leave in 2 days, so this information was very late and also came across in a very passive aggressive manor. Also, how we are supposed to pull a groundsheet up when we have a full awning is rather confusing, and something we've never been asked to do in all our years of touring/camping. Also, what should we do with our belongings in the meantime..... Personally we think the quiet time is too late of 11pm. In reality, the site was still noisy past this time on many occasions, but this is often an issue with families just being rude and disrespectful to others. Maybe if the time was brought forward to 10pm, people would start being quieter earlier.

Liked Very friendly staff. The gym had enough to keep me occupied. Pub and restaurant is well worth a visit. Touring pitch size was great. Hundreds of wild rabbits for my daughter to look at. A whole host of things to do within an hour's drive

Disliked The noisy weekend kids. The same kids appeared over 3 weekends and they were very noisy. Admittedly they kept to the site rules of being quiet from 10pm. My biggest concern was them driving and riding around on an electric quad, electric bike, electric go kart and electric scooters, diving in and out of all the caravan pitches on to the main access road. It's impossible to see kids at that height when you're in a car and it's only a matter of time until an unexpected car driver hits one, as the kids had very little regard for road safety. I know this is more of a parenting issue really, but the park will also end up suffering in the long run if the unthinkable happens. A mop and bucket would also be nice in the shower rooms, as we didn't like leaving a mess and we also didn't like going for a shower if someone else had recently been in. The shower rooms don't have a drain.
