Liked Clean site. Easy to find check in and pitch. Nearby washing facilities and bar etc. Electric on all pitches and water easily available.

Disliked Food was expensive for what you get. Pizza first night was £13 but just a gloopy mess, not well cooked. Breakfast on the last morning with a coffee was about £14, came out quickly but was luke warm and the sausage was tasteless. Added extra bacon, but all there was on the plate was a tiny bit of extra bacon, about half the size of the other rasher. Drinks were not cheap either. The pub down the road is about £1.50 per pint cheaper. The food looked better too. Washroom was a bit dated and needs refreshing. Feels grubby. One shower didn't work without having a finger on the button constantly. Staff were great. Excellent all round.

Liked Well kept tidy site with good facilities. Nice secluded private pitches. Great views over the water and surrounding beautiful countryside. Clean 'rustic' style toilet and shower facilities. Adult only and no music made it peaceful and relaxing.

Liked Lovely wooded site with little and bigger tent pitches and van spaces dotted about. Clean and very rustic long drop toilets, showers and washing up area dotted about the woods. Well cleared trails and roadways. A real good feel to the place. The local church(I presume)clock chimes on the hour every hour in the distance, birds and other animals are heard around the place. A great proper rural feeling. One of the best impromptu stops I have made. A tenner a night is excellent! The local pub is 15 mins walk straight along the road and is a great place...just make sure you book as they get very busy for food and rarely take walk in customers on busy days.

Disliked Slightly clearer signage into the site would be better... I drove past it and thought it would be a little further on.

Liked Great spacious, clean and tidy site and facilities and views, and fishing/swimming lake. Manager was welcoming and informative. Local area beautiful. In the absence of phone/data signal, good value wifi available.

Disliked More suited to caravans and camper vans than tents... lots of early morning farm animal noise meant dawn wake ups. Earplugs advisable. But there are worse ways to wake. And I knew it was a farm site. So not a complaint just advice.

From the manager: Thank you for your review hope you come again, just to address the animal sounds we do obviously state we are a working farm and as such they will be animal sounds but in this instance there we new cattle to the farm and did make more noise than you would usually hear.

Liked Big open site with great views. Just a few minutes walk to get food/drink at the local pub. Wild style camping but with a bit of the convenience of composting loos and a shower(just 1). Wildlife could be heard even if not seen. Great friendly welcome.
