Liked Really beautiful site in a lovely village. The owners have done an amazing job of reclaiming this land - an un farmable stretch of heavy sloping clay - hence the name Butter Hill. They’ve made an astounding job. Six immaculate pitches with EHU, an Elsan and waste water point. They are really friendly too and generous with their local knowledge. You can walk up to the White Horse from here, and it’s a short drive to gorgeous Coxwold. Will definitely return. 🙏☺️

Liked Absolutely everything about this site is excellent. The pitches are immaculately kept and there are fantastic views whichever way you look. There’s a super cute cafe/ bar area with chairs on the perfectly mown grass. The toilets and washing up facilities are some of the best we’ve seen…including a handy toaster and kettle and two washers for clothes. Beck and her team are running a superb site in this beautiful part of Derbyshire, only about 20 mins walk from the pretty town of Hartington. She walks the grounds a couple of times a day checking things over as well as popping up behind the horse box bar to serve you a cold Prosecco! You get a great little welcome pack with maps and walks and food recommendations too.I think this is the best site we’ve stayed at in the UK and it’s definitely one we’ll be coming back to. Thank you Beck and team for a great stay.

Disliked Nothing to dislike here. There’s even fragrance diffusers in the loos!

Liked Small and perfectly formed. The site only has 5 pitches - all with ehu and water and immaculately kept. The views are wonderful and the village (5mins walk) is postcard pretty and very friendly. Dan was great when we contacted him and we saw him check the bibs and site. Only here for one night but we’ll definitely be back. There’s some lovely walks straight from the site and a pub in the village. There’s Church - St Giles - is well worth a visit too. NOTE there is no loo or shower block or washing up facilities. So you’ll ned to be self sufficient. There is an immaculately kept Elsan point though.

Disliked Nothing to dislike. A gem in the heart of Derbyshire and we’ll be visiting again and again. Thank you Dan.

Liked Beautifully maintained site. Large pitches and gorgeously nestled in the trees. The on site bar is lovely and the owners are super friendly and helpful. Not too far from fabulous beaches.

Liked A lovely little site. Stephanie the owner is helpful and very friendly. The pitches are tidy and you really do feel part of a little farm with the chickens nearby. Stephanie will sell you her fresh eggs and cider at reasonable cost and the night we were there beautiful hot air balloons were floating nearby.

Disliked The facilities are very basic but owners explained they were working on improvements.
