From the manager: We are so very sorry to see that you feel this way. It is slightly odd that you stayed in June and have only posted this now, most people review within a week. We have many visitors who visit regularly and some of the caravans are older, but there is no way we would ever be so rude as to suggest this to our visitors, some of them have been coming here for 30 years. Everyone is welcome here, no matter what their facilities are like. Our site is a haven for many who keep returning and they are most welcome at any time. Our facilities are not new, but they are clean and are not run down, many features having been replaced over the last two years. These are clear to see from the photos posted of the site, which we are sure you must have looked at before booking. You didn't once mention to us that you were unhappy with your stay, we would have happily helped you find somewhere more to your liking. Its seems odd that you stayed three nights when you were unhappy. You have stated that there was nothing to stay here for. The facilities and information about the local area and points of interest are clearly listed on our website and also in the booking confirmation email we send out. A little research would have identified things to do. You have also said in your scoring that you did not like the location, again, it is listed exactly where we are situated. Constructive criticism or comments we welcome as we want our guests to enjoy the site, unfortunately the comments above are not, they are neither accurate or kind to our other guests.

From the manager: Thankyou for your review and I'm really sorry that you were disturbed by the farm tractors leading the hay and silage up to the dales. Due to the horrendous weather for haytime and silage time that the farmers have endured earlier this year ,it was unfortunate for you (in some ways -but great in others) that it was the only longer fine spell of weather we have had when you were here, and this meant that there was a very unusual, very short term, massive increase in the amount of tractors/trailers on all the country roads. We have all heard the saying "you can only make hay when the sun shines" and sadly from your point of view, the 'hay leading' away from the fields made your holiday less enjoyable and I can only apologise for that.
