Disliked The only thing that bothered me was that people were allowed to have fire pits and I was concerned due the heatwave and kindle on the ground at the moment

Liked Lovely campsite and good facilities. Really good location. Getting to the campsite can be quite challenging if you are in a large vehicle as it’s one lane and if you’re coming from the town end, hilly! Nevertheless, a really fab campsite and worth a stay.

Disliked The roads getting to the campsite but welcome to Cornwall! 😆

Liked Lovely campsite with walking distance to the beach. I would imagine it to be quiet when not in the holidays We tried the cold fresh water shower and it was surprisingly refreshing. Not sure it would work in the colder months! Compost toilets were also clean and no bad smells which was a surprise Liked that the campsite owner regularly drove round the site to do checks. Good location

Disliked The fairy lights in the loos were not working so unless you took a torch with you, the toilet was out of bounds at night. No hand sanitizer in the loo The drive into the campsite wasn’t great- lots of potholes The pitches were slanted so chocks are an absolute must for campers and motorhomes. I ended up having to move my campervan due to some young travellers who pitched their tents within 6 foot of my van, they then proceeded to squawk, and make so much noise that it wasn’t very restful. Very irritating that they were being visited by those who weren’t paying to stay there- which made the noise level unbearable. The grass could be cut back and removed for the pop up campsite.

Liked I felt really safe and welcomed here as a solo female traveller. The views are absolutely gorgeous. The site is in a really good location which is central to most sites in Ilfracombe and just a short walk to Broadsands Beach. They have a separate field for dog walkers to let their dogs loose which i thought was a nice touch. The sunsets here are really special. I stayed in the non reserved pitch which had amazing sea views. Showers and toilets were spotless. Grounds were well kept. Loved the vibe here and would definitely stay here again.

Disliked I struggled to find something that I disliked - the only thing I can think of is the slight hill walk to the loo!

Liked A beautiful little gem hidden on farmland. The owner of the campsite was really lovely and friendly. The facilities are absolutely outstanding and although the toilets and showers are communal, they were really private and so no problems at all. It was probably the cleanest campsite I have stayed on. The views are stunning. Definitely recommend.

Disliked I didn’t like the football pitch in the middle of the campsite. I didn’t find it very relaxing hearing a ball being booted when I was trying to relax. I assume this was for the kids.

Liked A beautiful little gem which we absolutely loved. So peaceful and the views are amazing. Sally is such a lovely lady who will do anything to help. We were allowed a late check out so we could visit St Nectan’s Glen which is a 15 min walk from the campsite.

Disliked I personally disliked the communal changing rooms but that’s personal choice. I felt uncomfortable seeing blokes coming out of the showers with just a towel around their waists.

Liked Very quiet, pub nearby, big pitches, peaceful.

Disliked Not a lot of things to do by foot here. Quite expensive for just a field. No taps or toilets on campsite- these are in the pub.
