Keswick, Cumbria, England
Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Gorgeous views wherever you looked. Ideally placed for Keswick. Level pitches. Toilet and shower clean and pot washing facility provided for those who need it. Hosts were lovely. We stayed throughout Storm Amy. Very wild weather but received a message the next morning to check we were ok. We couldn’t put the awning up due to the hard standing but it wouldn’t have survived the storm anyway Not a deal breaker as we loved the location and the chilled feel around the site. Definitely booking again. Well done The Willows, we loved it!!
Disliked Nothing not to like.

From the manager: Good morning Julie, Thank you for your fabulous review massively appreciated ! That was such a bad storm you all dealt with it so well it could and did put a lot of people off so thank you for sticking it out ! x Hoping that next time you come the site is even better the toilet refurbishments should be completed so they are all of the same standard as the first block. Look forward to welcoming you back, Lindsey

Dovedale electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Beautiful site. Well maintained and lovely views. We stayed on Dovedale, electric pitch. Well located for The Roaches and Manifold Valley. Fresh eggs from reception and use of a private bathroom which was spotlessly clean. Good spacious pitches. Quiet and peaceful. Will definitely return.

Seahouses, Northumberland, England
Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Beautifully kept site with good size pitches. Very quiet and ideally located for Seahouses village and the amazing beach.
Although situated next to a road, it was very quiet and peaceful.
Pitches were private and shrubs planted so it will become even more so when they have grown a little.
Pitches very level.
Disliked The dog walking field was more of a path around the perimeter of a small field which was very overgrown with nettles etc. To walk around took less than a minute but I suppose most people where on the beach with their dogs as we were.
Not the owners' responsibility and although clearly signed 'Please pick up dog waste' the path was littered with it. We picked up other dogs to make it more pleasant for the next walker.

From the manager: Thanks for your feedback and pleased you generally liked the site, unsure why you wouldn't recomend to friends, but if the dog paddock - (we don't refer to it as a field,) was your main purpose for booking sorry it didn't live up to expectations. As you implied, people's usage impacts on others, just sorry that you stayed when there appeared to be inconsiderate guests on site. Pity this wasn't mentioned at the time of your stay as we could have done something about it.

Electric grass touring pitch
Liked We stayed a week on this clean, quiet, well maintained site in our tourer. Dog Walking field on site. The Plough pub only 75 metres away serving gorgeous meals and ale. Mike is a lovely owner, happy to chat but never intrusive. Toilets and showers are immaculate. It is positioned alongside a road but hard any traffic throughout the day and night.
Disliked Having to come home but we will definitely be back

Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch
Liked Beautiful views on a peaceful, away from it all campsite. Only a handful of pitches which we loved. Drinking water at every pitch and chemical disposal just as you are leaving the site. Helpful farmer but left to own devices unless he was needed. Spacious pitches but not very level but some blocks provided. We are definitely booking again. Great location for Buxton, Bakewell and the absolutely stunning Goyt Valley. Just heaven.
Disliked Nothing to dislike. Loved it all
