Entrance to the site

General

  • Spacious dog-friendly site with spectacular views over the Pennine Way
  • Within easy reach of the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland
  • Two minutes' walk to the local pub

Thinking of visiting the Yorkshire Dales National Park? Or maybe the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty? How about both?

Willowbeck Farm, on the edge of the little North Yorkshire village of Wigglesworth, is neatly located between the two, putting guests within easy reach of lots of scenic areas for walks, bike trails and horse riding. (Need tips on the top spots? Try the spectacular surrounds of Malham Cove or the Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, both around half an hour’s drive away).

Town attractions and amenities are handily nearby too: you’re five miles from the market town of Settle (where there’s also a supermarket if you don’t happen to be passing by on a market day) and around a half-hour drive from Skipton and Clitheroe for castle visits and plenty of independent shops to poke around in.

Back at base, you’ll be staying on a small, quiet and well-maintained adults-only site with smart toilet and shower facilities and a dog exercise area. If you fancy heading out for a meal or a drink, it’s only a couple of minutes’ walk to the local pub, the Plough Inn (which closes for annual holidays between early January and February for around a month). There are a couple more country inns, The Maypole and The Boar's Head, five minutes’ drive away in Long Preston.

Please note

Tents are not accepted at this park.

Dogs are not allowed in the accommodation units.

Guests under the age of 18 are not allowed on site.

Dogs are welcome and have a dedicated exercise area next to the caravan field. Strictly no dogs are allowed to run free on the main caravan site and must be kept on leads at all times.

Awning groundsheets must be breathable.

Windbreaks are not permitted.

A lovely quiet setting in the village of Wiggleworth. Unfortunately due to the current covid situation the local Plough Inn was shut during our visit. The site however has implemented good covid-19 measures.
The facilities are clean and well maintained and presented. The pitch (hard standing) was very nice, nestled in the trees. Our second visit and will return.

Peaceful location and very secluded. Owner had dug out new pitch by the beck which was fully serviced with water and grey waste drain, surrounded by trees and very spacious pitch. Shower block and toilets immaculate and regularly cleaned, excellent Covid cleanliness policy and plenty of alcohol gel dispensers. Lovely pub 2 minute walk away....they loaned me a cafetiere for 10 days as I'd forgot to bring mine. Working farm and nice to see horses in paddock adjacent. Owner very welcoming. This site is a real find in some stunning countryside. Beautiful Skipton, Settle and Malham Tarn just a short drive away. Can't fault it and will return!

This is a small well kept site with clean facilities. It has very easy access. We tow an eight feet wide caravan and had no problem getting to or accessing the site. When we booked there was only grass electric available. These pitches are right at the front of the site so suffer from normal road noise during the day but it’s not a particularly busy road and at night is very quiet. The view over the dales from our pitch was fantastic. The pitches are fairly level with plenty of water points.
The pub is a two minute walk from the site. It is cosy with log burning fires and very friendly staff. We went there once and enjoyed the food which was reasonably priced. Covid 19 restrictions were in place at the time and the pub/inn only opened at weekends.

Lovely peaceful site in a gorgeous location. We had a great welcome, with clear instructions and guidance. The site was level and of a good size. The bathroom facilities were clean and well maintained, with plenty of hot water in the showers.

They had carefully followed covid-19 guidelines, and we felt safe but it wasn't overbearing. Recommended.

The site is near the T junction in the village from where motorbikes seem to think this is the starting grid for a race track, making it a very noisy site. Also there is only 1 toilet, shower and wash basin in each male and female area.
