Happy to come back as price was reasonable
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Came back having gone elsewhere recently due to price and noise, but there was a discount and it was very peaceful, and it's very convenient for regattas at HPP.
Disliked Height restriction barrier, so when we have to carry boats it's tricky to go out at night and we have to ask for help to leave early. That said, we were able to get out early, and the staff member was very helpful.

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us such a lovely review. We’re really pleased to hear that, for your first weekend away in a touring caravan, you had such a positive experience with us.
It’s great to hear you found the facilities very clean and the site quiet and peaceful, and that you enjoyed having such a large pitch. Sometimes a simple, relaxing weekend away is exactly what’s needed, and we’re delighted that the site was just what you were looking for.
We hope this is the start of many more touring caravan adventures, and we’d love to welcome you back again in the future! 😊

DO NOT STAY HERE!! I wish I'd have listened to the reviews.
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Absolutely nothing
Disliked If I could rate this campsite a 0 stars I would.
The showers were appalling.
Filthy cubicles.
Showers didn't work AT ALL!
When you eventually got a dribble, and I mean dribble, it was cold.
5 showers for 100 odd people.
Kids had a whole weekend of a rugby tournament and we couldn't even wash them to get them clean.
Honestly wish I'd have listened the the reviews and not just thought people were moaning minnies.
Absolute rip off. To pay to stay on this site is an absolute joke.

From the manager: Dear Guest
Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. I’m genuinely sorry to hear how disappointed you were with your stay, particularly as you were here for a rugby tournament and needed the facilities to be suitable for your children to shower and get cleaned up afterwards.
The issues you’ve described with the shower facilities, including the cleanliness, water pressure and temperature, are clearly not what we would expect our guests to experience. We completely understand how frustrating this must have been, especially with around 100 people on site and limited showers available.
Could you please let us know whether any of these issues were made known to a member of our staff during your stay? If so, it would be really helpful if you could let us know who you spoke to and, if you remember, roughly when this was. We would like to understand what happened and why the issues weren’t resolved or investigated while you were on site.
We’re also very sorry to hear that you felt you had no option but to leave a day early. We appreciate that you paid for your full stay and were unable to make use of it as you had expected.
We take your comments seriously and would like the opportunity to look into what happened during your stay, particularly the concerns regarding the showers and the lack of facilities available to such a large number of guests.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we would appreciate any further information you can provide about whether the issues were reported to our team at the time.
Kind Regards

From the manager: Dear Guest
Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you enjoyed our close proximity to the National Water Sports Centre, which is certainly one of the benefits of staying with us.
We’re really sorry to hear that the toilets and showers weren’t up to the standard you expected. Cleanliness is very important to us, and we’re continuing to review our cleaning routines and frequency of checks to make sure the facilities are kept to a good standard.
We also appreciate your honest comments about the age and condition of the facilities. We understand that some areas are looking tired and would benefit from updating and modernising, and this is something we are mindful of when looking at future improvements.
Thank you also for pointing out the overgrown hedges around the electrical boxes. Keeping the site tidy and making sure these areas are accessible and well maintained is important, so we’ll make sure this is passed on to the relevant team.
Thank you again for taking the time to provide such detailed feedback. We do take your comments on board and hope to be able to welcome you back in the future and provide a better experience.
Kind Regards
