We're very sorry to learn about the damage to your vehicle and appreciate you bringing your experience to our attention.
We would like to clarify that the height barrier is manned for 12 hours each day, and information about the barrier being lowered during operating hours is included in our arrival email. The barrier is in place to help prevent unauthorised access to the site and ensure the safety and security of our guests.
During these hours, a member of our team is based in the shop monitoring the barrier, which is clearly visible from that location when it is in the lowered position. We are sorry that you felt unsupported on arrival, as this is not the impression we want our guests to have. We will share your comments with the team to reinforce the importance of proactively assisting guests approaching the entrance whenever possible.

We're also grateful for your comments, as they help us improve. I'm sorry to hear you were disappointed with the shop. We do stock bread, but it's kept in the freezer rather than on the shelves. We made this change because, when we stocked fresh bread, very little of it sold and we ended up with a lot of waste. We appreciate that this isn't very obvious, so we'll certainly look at making it clearer for future guests.
Thank you as well for your comments regarding the toilet facilities and pitch allocation. We always do our best to balance bookings, and we'll take your feedback on board as we continue to improve our guests' experience.

We were camped in rafters field by the road, which was very busy and relentless noise all day / night which didn't make for a good night sleep.

N'a pas aimé We were in the Rafters field. We stayed Saturday to Monday for an event. The shower/toilet block was not cleaned over the entire weekend so come Monday am it was grim.

Overall, a lovely place to visit. But we maybe wouldn't be back.

A aimé Location. The country park is lovely and plenty to see and do. Kids enjoyed it. It was our first ever camping experience so we didn't have huge hopes and was only doing one night to dip our toes in.
N'a pas aimé Busy, but that was because there was an event on the weekend we stayed. So no ones fault really.
Some of the toilets didn't flush well and the bathroom facilities maybe need a small revamp. They were ok, adequate for our needs, as we only stayed one night.
Few rowdy people till half ten but when the sun went down, it was quiet.
We were placed right next to a wasp nest which was very awkward. But to be honest, our car was parked between the tent and it, so in fairness they didn't really get in or bother us too much. And I hate wasps so I would have been the first to run a mile.

Lots of trees which offered shade and privacy.
Noise from other campers was minimal.
Hot water.
Very convenient to rowing lake.
N'a pas aimé Toilets - not enough and I don't think the drains could cope. A couple of mornings they were practically overflowing in the brick building. This was sorted later on the day both times.
Showers - did not drain well in the brick building. No where to put clothes/ washing stuff to keep dry.
No cold water at the sinks for brushing teeth.
Road noise was significant overnight for 3 nights which can't be helped by staff but there is obviously a healthy local population of boy racers.
Shop - very limited stock & opening hours.
